Our cabin: annoyingly small. As in tiny. And the bathroom was teeny tiny. There was plenty of storage space however. But the shower was actually awesome…. A clever glass door that swiveled in and out , great water pressure and always plenty warm. we never really got used to our tiny cabin though, and bumped into walls, corners, and each other all week. Very minimal counter space in this category of cabin as well. The fridge kept our Diet Coke and waters cold and our awesome room steward kept our ice bucket full and our cabin sparkling all week.

Flew into MCO every early the day prior, picked up our car rental and drove to visit my snowbird mom who lives nearby. Spent the night and returned the car the next morning at Port Canaveral and Ubered to port. Our first annoyance of the trip would come shortly as embarkation was significantly delayed due to an emergency on the returning ship. We figure this into the travel experience however, and just tried to enjoy the fact that we made it to port with no issues, we were healthy and we were on vacation. We ended up boarding the ship at 330 in the afternoon. Those who arrived later in the day waited in significantly longer lines. The ship was over an hour late for sail away. Again, what can you do. Do not dwell. Went straight to muster, then to our cabin 17242 on the spa deck. Made a beeline to Guys Burgers which conveniently was also on deck 17. This Guys is huge! ♥️All was right with the world and even more so with that first Swirls Ice cream

We’ve recently returned from our first voyage on the gorgeous Carnival Mardi Gras. This was one of my middle of the night bookings that I seem to be so fond of doing whilst half asleep or attempting to have something worth living for. I broke the news about this one gently and lovingly to dear husband and it wasn’t too long at all before he accepted it and was getting just as excited as I about it!😍 side note: we had a Panorama Havana aft wrap out of Long Beach booked just prior to this , but had to cancel due to a minor family emergency ….so we applied Panorama down payment to this new Mardi Gras booking. Mardi Gras ended up being quite the consolation prize, even with our tiny inside cabin - we will talk about that more later on 🙂

I saw it near the end of the list of spa services online when I was looking the other day…for our 7day cruise it was 120$ pp I believe….

Yes- about 45 minutes in that tour bus …..we were a bit wary of it too, but the guide was so engaging it flew right by! Also our LTE on our phones( Verizon) was active the whole ride…👍🏻

Everyone: late last night I booked us the Panorama to Mexico for February 2023🇲🇽💃🙌🏻🎉🎉🎉 my hubby doesn’t know yet!🤣 Got us a Havana Aft Wrap Balcony- counting the days!!! ( but first we do an inside cabin on deck 17 of the Mardi Gras December 2022- he knows about that one lol❣️)

👍🏻 He certainly is! We didn’t stop to sample the pulque as he gave us extra time in rosarito to shop….I think that was why🤔

Oooh that sounds perfect! You’ll have the best time…..and the anticipation is half the fun….. that’s why I try to always have a future cruise booked at all times😍

We had no issues with our mini fridge-kept that Diet Coke and water nice and cold… I would hope the steward could switch out fridges if one was broken…..

It was getting close to 4 pm so we headed back to check out and enjoyed the lobby bar and cafe, people watching and WiFi until it was time to Uber to Lax! I hope you’ve enjoyed my review and that it gets you excited for your next cruise from Long Beach - we loved everything about our little getaway❣️ Wash your hands a lot, don’t sneeze on anyone ( or let them sneeze on you) and ENJOY YOUR LIFE- every moment is precious and not to be wasted….. We saw Topgun Maverick- it was opening day ! and did a quick visit to the Aquarium of the Seas really really enjoyed both the movie and the aquarium…..

Popped into a few of the harbor shops ….my favorite was this one thousands of specialty socks!!!💙💙

Headed down to the beach and along the harbor walk…

the walk back was just beautiful…so many pretty flowers in downtown Long Beach..

Saturday morning we slept in and then headed out to find breakfast …and with the help of TripAdvisor did we ever find one. The Breakfast Bar on Atlantic Avenue was about a 15-20 min walk from the Hyatt Regency and the food was AMAZING Deviled Egg brunch Fries were 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Veggie Eggs Benedict with potato cake! And in the background- berry french toast….everything was just delicious ❣️

We walked across the street to PF Chang’s in the early afternoon and then enjoyed the fire pit back on the pool deck….we chatted with a wonderful couple from Hollywood that came down for the weekend to celebrate their anniversary- and this is the perfect hotel for that…..we loved it here and actually did not want to leave❣️

we never rented a swan boat, but it was really fun to watch everyone on them …they really got busy in the evening and on Saturday 🦢🦢

I requested a late checkout for tomorrow since we had a red eye flight from Lax and wouldn’t need to get to the airport until 9pm! They gave us until 2pm complimentary and I paid 50$ more to get 2 more hours…so no checkout until 4 pm-👍🏻 We got settled in and then headed to the pool… the hot tub was the perfect temp and the vibe out here was so bright and happy and just beautiful 🌴

We checked in right around 1030 , the room was ready so that was perfect . The room was very comfortable with a king size bed and a stellar view of Rainbow lagoon with the actual long beach in the background♥️

Back to Long Beach and the Hyatt Regency : We arrived in Long Beach while we slept…it must have been around 0600 ? As usual we do the self assist debarkation, so we left our cases in the cabin and headed to Blue Iguana for breakfast at about 0700 ……had breakfast burritos and one last ice cream cone and then back to cabin right around 0745. We thought we would head down to the atrium and wait, but once we got down there they were already beginning to let the self assist people get off! So we never even sat down, just kept walking👍🏻 We were out on the curb before 0830 getting our Uber! Very smooth process. We have arrived at the Hyatt Regency… here’s a view of the pool area from the walkway that goes over to the harbor♥️

No - you can buy them thru the Funshops online before you cruise! Have a wonderful cruise!💕🌴

Oooh yes! I believe that is it….. it was delicious! Why did I think it was my first meal!?🤷‍♀️😅
