Wow - I should have ordered that! Jacques was our favorite too. Has two lovely meals there. That gnocchi was amazing!! The best service too and Zana the host was wonderful.

We didn’t love our meal at Polo either. The host is unfriendly but the servers were great. My shrimp cocktail was served with ketchup with almost no horseradish. I asked for horseradish and they brought over horseradish cream and just dumped a huge spoonful in it the ketchup - yuck. My surf and turf was, as you say, a skimpy portion and was not at all hot. They brought over cold clarified butter and dumped that on and also cold bernaise. I asked for it to be sent back and requested a hot meal. Nope on the second attempt. Host came over and asked what the problem was and I said it was not hot and he said ‘medium rare steak cannot be served hot’. My husband’s prime rib was hot and medium rare. Also the soupy truffle mashed potatoes were gross. However, the crème brûlée cheesecake was marvelous! But it didn’t make up for a very poor experience and rude hosts.

Yes! Especially if you are an early riser as you’ll get there before the rush! My husband also liked Horizons in the AM - especially if it was a nice day and scenic view (and I wanted to sleep in!) I think they have a slightly bigger selection of continental breakfast fare. Hint to Oceania - it would be nice if newspapers were up there too! They are just photocopies from PressReader and I think they can print more than one. Can’t wait to try Vista! Enjoy your cruise. 😄

In our opinion, using the lounge was not appealing to us - we found it a tad small and a little stuffy and we had soft drinks in our fridge (our steward found Fresca!!!) and liked to get coffee at Baristas. The concierge was helpful but we could have done what we used her for ourselves too. Again, just us - as we noticed it was well used by others!! The biggest draw for us for Concierge Level was access to the Spa Terrace (not every day) and that’s not something that may appeal to others. And if it is - you could just get a day pass instead. We will reconsider on our next cruise on the larger ships. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

The concierge on Riviera helped us get two additional specialty restaurant reservations. Perhaps it was just a matter of luck but we appreciated it!

We loved Baristas on the Riviera - the baristas themselves were wonderful and made a special unsweetened iced coffee drink for me that was amazing. We enjoyed the Americanos too - nice and strong - with cream. They do have very nice nibbles. Including vanilla, chocolate and pistachio Madelines!! I enjoyed the smoked salmon with cream cheese, capers and lemon on sliced baguette!

Did not taste lemon at all. Consistency was fine - not broken, but it was very bland. I think a dry mix might be better! 😂

1022 passengers on board! Agree it doesn’t seem crowded. Enjoying that!

We’ve had some great meals so far. A few misses - I agree on the Hollandaise! I had it on my scrambled eggs this morning and it was tasteless! And the lobster bisque tasted like Campbells Tomato Soup! But overall we have been very happy. The heavy unmovable chairs in the Terrace are annoying though. Heading into Jacksonville today to visit the Cummer Art Museum and MOCA.

I overheard a server in the Terrace Cafe that they are still not fully staffed. It is 1 staff member to 2 guests instead of the normal Oceania- advertised 2 staff to 1 guest. May account for some of the issues.

I’m curious if the TVs in the cabins are Smart TVs that would allow us to cast from our iPhones or iPad to watch content on the TV. Or, if subscription services like Netflix are available. We will be on Riviera on 12-March. TIA

I am requesting Fresca too - one can hope!! If they have it, I’ll be an Oceania customer for life! 🤣
