A couple of years ago I had the same thing happen in Tampa with the Jewel. Kinda ruins the rest of the day!

We are looking forward to giving the new concept a try. We will not be cruising on the Quantum out of the NE and the Anthem will not be in the states for a while so we are on hold!
-
Thanks for the info. WE have used the same TA for over 35 cruises and we are about ready to give up and change. It really is a hard decision.
-
We too are looking forward to this ship more than the Quantum and Anthem. I need to go look at the new renderings.
-
We plan on booking our next cruise while on board the Allure in May. We want to change TA. Will they allow us to give credit to a TA other than the one of record at that point?
-
Great great info. Thank you all!

We are getting ready to book Celebrity for the first time. We are D+ on RCCL and have a number of cruises on other lines. What should we know or think about before booking Celebrity for the first time? Thanks for your thoughts and/or heads up!

Thanks for the great info. We are on the Allure in May and would like to book a celebrity cruise and get OBC but are not sure if October 2015 on Celebrity will be available. They are not listed as of last night.

I seem to remember seeing a sign on the Brilliance in February saying we can book a celebrity cruise on board. Am I remembering correctly?
And can a future cruise certificate be used for Celebrity?
-
Thank you all!
Our cruise on the Allure in May will be our first cruise as D+. I knew tha some ships allowed you to use your second coupon later in the week. We will be finding out is Allure allows it in May I guess!
-
I've read on these boards that on some of the ships they will let D+ couples use one coupon first night and if they book and pay on the first night they can use the other coupon later in the cruise. My Question is=
Does the Allure allow this?
-
We have purchased a dining package on both of our previous Allure cruises and enjoyed!

Our next cruise will be on Voyager and I can't wait! Is the pool in the solarium closed at night too? I know on Radiance I went for a midnight swim and spa. I had the place to myself, except for the man at the Park cafe. Very peaceful, but it was open.
We were just on the Brilliance in February and did not have the same experience. And yes, the Solarium pool was open at night.

Nerdwallet has some easy to follow break downs (you can view by other categories as well). Everyone has different spending habits and needs, so I won't suggest one over the other, but this is a good site to compare.
Thanks for this link!

We love the Allure but we also love the Radiance class and the Freedom. Guess we just love cruising. We have been on the dream as well and the Freedom beats it in every category!

Welcome to Cruise Critic! There is lots of great info here!

Actually no...... if for some reason the cruise was free, (no one paid RCCL anything ) then there will be no points awarded. And, If one is given a complimentary upgrade to a suite, extra points are not awarded.
I'd be happy to forgo a few points and have " Mr. Goldstein " pay for my cruise. :)
Enjoy

Good info!

We have tried Izumi on 3 different ships and must be slow learners. We will not be trying it again.

Price may go down, but at 6 months out it will go up and not likely to come down until very close to sail date.(if there are cabins available). Our experience at any rate.
-
Our experience has been that the Oasis and Allure Park Cafe is much more extensive than the other ships that we have seen it on. We are jut off of the Brilliance and not nearly the selections. But the space is so much different too. We were just happy to it.

My list is completed about a month out. The suitcases come out 2 weeks out and DH packs then. I work on the actual packing for about a week prior.
-
wierd happenings here too. I dlted my bookmark and googled and bookmarked again and no problem.

I actually lost weight tow weeks ago on the Brilliance. We are always so busy that we walk off any extra calories!

Next month we will have our 3rd BW balcony on the Allure. We have had the same deck 11 cabin all 3 times. We have never had a noise problem. We love sitting on the balcony and watching the BW and the sip line goes right over the baclony. We ha CP balcony on the Oasis and it was ok but much prefer teh BW.
