Glad you enjoyed it. I also look forward to your comments . I think you have been on QE as well as QV but you seem to prefer QV.? Why is that ? QV is our preference in QG but having 28 Days on QE in November round Oz - what will be the difference .
-
Thank you All comments are a great help It is an Australian cruise so no other countries involved . It would also be the last 10 days of the cruise . I will contact Cunard and hopefully if possible, the rate will be based on what we paid over 2 years ago, as increased a lot since then. It is also a advertised sector

Interesting - I booked on may 24 a second after 10.00 pm and no choice in QG except for a Q6 -just one cabin. In the past always plenty on offer for the Syd/Hkg leg and I would also say much lower in price . I guess already heavily booked due to transfers from 2021 and 2022 WC cancellations We we’re booked on same leg 2022 and we’re never approached by Cunard to see if we would like to be considered for 2023.2024 . We are loyal Diamond but don’t think that matters ???

Oz bookings opened up for WC members at 10.00 pm. ( strange time) only 1 cabin left in QG - it was a guarantee but managed to secure . Did the rest of the World open up for bookings much earlier ???

We have a 28 day cruise booked and would like our 21 yr old granddaughter to join us for the last 10 days in our QG cabin which will accomodate 3 Does anyone have experience or thoughts on this.

Only some cancelled due to ships being moved .alternate sailings are being offered . Princess starting cruises on East coast QLD in June which is good news for us At least a start - keeping everything crossed for QE round Australia in November .We thought it was a safe option to start cruising again without any long flights !
-
Princess cruises just cancelled Asia and Oz through to end of October 2022.Queen Elizabeth due to arrive into Perth in November - ???? Hope she makes it !

good one, Roscoe. Hope not!

We have an opportunity to book a Q2 on QE . It’s a good price and saves the long walk from our usual Q5 or Q6 . Any suggestions and comments regarding pros and cons would be appreciated. Special anniversary and 28 days 💑

Just released but can’t book yet. 14 days western Med 28 July 2023 . Only viewing on 18 Jan OZ times if you enter your Cunard Mship number . Others 19 Jan Could be others but didn’t go further than this as breakfast calling🥯🥨

No not Yuck. Lovely sheer tan tights with a big toe hole so that holds the tight’s foot in place and shows all bare toes and also nicely “tanned” legs. if I am wearing something black then of course sheer black tights for a knee length dress and closed shoes. If I am wearing a long dress it would usually just be open sandals with bare legs and feet.Penlady - as long as you are happy and comfortable 😍😍

I buy tights with an open toe -that seems to work

Roscoe in Australia the deposit is $300.00 per person, refundable up to 01 December 22. I got the last QG for Sydney to Southampton, at 8.00 am yesterday as soon as bookings opened for Club Members. I think Cunard let them go to people on cancelled options for 2021??
I think price similar to 2021 and 2020.
Something to look forward to.

been watching all week and mainly open for QV Sydney/Southampton QG except for Q1 and Q2.
However when I looked at 5.00 pm yesterday only two Q6 left even though not on sale until 8 am for Cunard Members this morning. ???? I guess people booked on cancelled WC for 2021 were offered first ???
However on the computer at 7.59 am today and just booked last Q6 which we prefer any way. Also booked round Australia on QE for November 07, 2022 just in case we decide we don't want to travel OS . Only small deposit in Oz which is refundable up to a certain date.
Suggest putting your Membership into your booking before you book and the price will revert to the discounted World cruise option
Good luck, and get the Covid jab !

Can see any news of QV coming to Australian Ports in 2023???
So maybe going to try South America again.
Silver Sea announced their 2023 world cruise this morning!

Love your blogs,Rosco.as QV is my favourite ship It brings back happy memories .Which cabin was in your photo.?

Thank you for all your replies. Just interested as a value comparison! I don't think I could buy a car for what my necklace was worth- we also had a good OBC so very happy with purchase and look forward to wearing it on QE Christmas Cruise
-
My husband bought me a necklace with a small diamond cluster when on board in March. I received a valuation certificate from Cunard.
I took it to a local up market jeweller in Australia to have it valued and was pretty disappointed that the value was much less than Cunard's valuation.
Anyone else experienced this?
However I love it and get plenty of comments when wearing it- just interested in getting a second opinion!

Dear Deck chair, I think you mean 2021, not 2001.
You were lucky to get a spot- not much left!

Thank you for all your replies. Lovely group photo!😍

Can anyone on board at the moment tell me the name of the Matre’d in Queens Grill on Queen Elizabeth?
-
Is the new build definitely Queen Anne.?

re suite 8174 - firstly too much furniture in the cabin- large chaise at the foot of the bed, large armchair which also seemed to be "in the way" and was very heavy to move.Safe in the bottom shelf of the cupboard which meant going on your knees to open or close it. (not good for oldies)
Vanity with mirror in the bedroom area- mirror too high up. I am 5ft 7 and when sitting on the chair to dry my hair with their hair dryer or do my make up, I could only see the top of my head?
Wardrobe had a rail half way down. This meant any long dresses were sitting on the rail causing them to be creased.
Magnifying mirror in bathroom set into the vanity door. This was also too far up and was useless. Also missed the Cunard wall clock. Not everyone wants to use their mobile phones.
Bathroom was lovely with a very large bath, good shower and double basins.
I much prefer the older Q5 and Q6 as much more room.

we had what was a Q4 8174 just after QV was refurbished. It was the most inconvenient cabin we have ever had ???.
however the bathroom was wonderful- the best we have ever had and very luxurious.
Does anyone know if this is still Q4?
this year we had a corner aft on deck 4 of QV and we enjoyed it very much.
about to try another deck 4 cabin QG mid aft on QE, so looking forward to comparing.
