  1. thank you for your replies. In Australia I don't believe you need to pay anything until a cabin has cleared? Then you pay the deposit etc etc. I will do some checking.

Lucky Elephant 1151 on the full World Voyage, we have cruised lots of segments over the years but only managed about 23 days each time. Enjoy this lovely ship!

We are on QE in December but QV is our favourite!

  2. book with a TA face to face. Find one who is a Member of CLIA (cruise lines international association)

Members are usually fully trained and more importantly they are able to get the best deals for your cruise and also they know who to contact if there is a problem

    good luck

  3. Sailed twice on QV, once in the Med and once in Asia with these wrap around cabins .Once on deck 8 and once  on deck 4. We sometimes  heard the deck chairs being put out on deck 8  but that never bothered us. We did not hear any bands etc when they were playing on Deck 8, either.

The wrap around also has the advantage for good viewing either from the front balcony or the side balcony

we are booked again on QE with a similar corner suite. Advantages of these aft cabins is that they are large and  also you can keep very fit doing  your power walk several times a day to the B elevators.!!!

  4. Thank you everyone for your interesting replies. Do the invitations come in a nice white envelope or just a generic one popped in the slot in the door way (which was the case on our last cruise with our names on a label stuck on) -  Not like the “Old Days”

  5. This is a question re World Club parties- may have already been answered previously.

As QG passengers and now Diamond, only one party from Brisbane to Singapore,(22 days)

When I enquired re Officers party from WC Desk, was told "you will only be invited to one or the other"  ??

Same when we were on Med in August/September last year, 22 days, also QG, the same- only one party?

A couple of years ago from SFO to Sydney, at least 2 parties and we were only Platinum then.

What is the usual? Keep thinking that our invitation was "Lost in Transit"

look forward to other cruisers experiences with WC parties.:classic_love:

  6. has anyone had cabin 4189 Aft Q5 on Victoria. booked a couple of weeks ago Brisbane to Singapore 2019 and already not too much left. I really wanted a mid aft on deck 5 or 6 but too late.!

I know a long walk to Elevator B for QG restaurant but don't mind that

  7. re the explanation of the Aft corner Q4 suite, what did you mean about the bath being different? How does it differ from a usual QG bath. I love soaking in my bath so hope it is not a small square corner one?

    You review was very helpful

  8. thank you to all the posts about the Q4 aft cabin. Still undecided but think we will stick with it as not much choice left on our cruise. Surprised that the corner suites were just one room and not 2!

    Does any one have photos?

  9. COOL CRUISER- thank you so much for your comments. We have been in deck 4/5 aft and know that the balcony on aft Deck 8 will be smaller. The future cruise lady on board said that the new Penthouses would be lovely so that is why we thought we would have a change. Your review is very positive- many thanks

  10. thank you for your reply. I will keep looking for someone who has sailed on Q4 as not going until Aug 2018 and if replies are not favourable will change. the Q1 looks pretty good with new furnishings and layout! how do you think Seabourn compares with QV?
