Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thank you for posting. We are heading to Dammam in December on an NCL cruise. I just started looking into the Visa requirements, including making sure we didn't have an Israeli passport stamp from our trip last year, and it looks as though we need an e-marine visa: In 2021, Saudi Arabia allowed cruise ship passengers to apply for an e-visa to visit and stay in Saudi Arabia. However, it is worth noting that cruise travelers need several travel documents to show the border control agents. This includes: An approved marine eVisa for Saudi Arabia. A valid passport with six months left in its expiration. Proof of a purchased cruise ship ticket. Did you do have to do this? It's very confusing online... Obviously I'll research more, but just curious how your cruise ship handled it.
  2. This may answer the Jordan question -- from the US embassy website: Entry/Exit Requirements For U.S. Citizens A passport and a visa are required. Jordan issues visas to U.S. citizens for a fee at most international ports of entry and at most international land border crossings upon arrival. The visa currently costs 40 JD ($56.50 USD) for a single entry, 60 JD ($85.00 USD) for two entries, and 120 JD ($170.00 USD) for a multiple entry visa. However, visas are not issued upon arrival at the King Hussein/Allenby Bridge land border crossing. U.S. citizens must already be in possession of a valid visa to Jordan or have a special entry permit from the Jordanian Ministry of Interior to enter Jordan at this crossing. U.S. citizens are typically given visas that are valid for 30 days. Foreigners who wish to stay longer than the time given to them by Jordanian immigration upon entry into Jordan must register at a Jordanian police station before expiration of that time. Travelers who fail to register properly subject themselves to a fine of 1.5 JD (approximately $2.10 USD) per day of overstay. This fine is usually assessed at departure
  3. NCL representative told us the other day that they will handle issuing visas once onboard. Hope it's true because I'm excited about Jordan...
