What if you’re doing a Btb but changing staterooms…what’s the procedure. Do you need to pack your bags as if you’re departing and put your bags out the night before? Never done btb and I’m not sure what happens 🤷🏼♀️

Actually it did show one but it was a handicap room. Bought it from an agency that still had rooms because they reserved a lot beforehand. The cruise looks very full. I’m hoping we will get the sunset

No,not necessarily. You will get a sunset veranda OR BETTER. This can be a problem on Edge class in particular, as most people would consider the sunset veranda to be superior to an infinite veranda, but the Prime Infinite veranda is usually priced higher than a Sunset Veranda, and thus is a "better" cabin for the purposes of a GTY booking. Likewise, I would rather have a Sunset veranda on Edge Class than a Concierge or even Aqua cabin, but those would certainly be considered "better" cabins.

Actually this is on the millennium. Does it make a difference?

That is not right. Veranda is the category. Inside, Oceanview, Veranda, Concierge, Aqua and Retreat are the general categories. The supercategories under the Veranda category would be:
Veranda Partial View (V3)
Veranda (V2)
Prime Veranda (V1)
Deluxe Veranda (DV)
Sunset Veranda (SV)
If you choose a Veranda Gaurantee you can be assigned a cabin in any of those supercategories. Although it's far less common now, sometimes there are specific supercategory guarantee offers (Sky Suite Guarantee, Sunset Veranda Guarantee, etc) where the cabin is more specific but those are seldomly seen.
I booked a sunset veranda guarantee. Will I be assured of getting a sunset veranda?

Of course you can head to the beach, the problem is, which one. The closest beach, not inside the LA/LB Harbor breakwater is the Belmont Shore at the south end of Long Beach, about 10 miles away. If I was going to Uber that far, I might Uber to Seal Beach, Hermosa Beach or Huntington Beach.
There’s some things to do which may be of interest. We have the Korean bell. Fort mcarthur museum and battery Osgood- Farley. Point Fermin lighthouse and park. Royal Palms state beach. There’s also a marine aquarium at Cabrillo beach. You can tour the battleship Iowa. Visit the maritime museum and fire boat exhibit. Within 5 miles are the trump national golf course for a drink/lunch with great ocean views and also Terranea resort with numerous restaurants and views

Hello All,
Any recommendations for Pre Cruise Hotels at the Los Angeles Port?
As far as the doubletree and crowne plaza hotels…the crowne plaza has numerous restaurants around it that you can easily walk to. They’re located on 5th 6th and 7 th streets.
the doubletree is located in the Marina There’s Cabrillo beach that’s an easy flat walk to the outer Cabrillo beach. It has an A rating for water cleanliness. It’s a sandy/rocky beach. We live in the area if you have any questions -
Has the ship been able to start their cruise? We are on September 16 solstice out of Vancouver. Hope we won’t be affected…

Just off solstice. We didn’t see any apple products

The 7 hour trip sounds like the one that is a round trip out of Juneau. The excursion that disembarks passengers at Tracy Arm or Endicott and then meets the ship in Juneau is closer to 3.5 hours.
The Juneau round trip usually leaves at 8 a.m. Not many cruise itineraries arrive in Juneau early enough (7:00 a.m. or earlier) to take it.
Our excursion on the solstice gets off in endicott goes towards the glacier and meets the ship in Juneau. It is a 6 hour excursion

We rented a car for the day in Juneau. We went to Mendenhall before the tour buses got there, the shrine of Sainte Therese, Eagle Beach, Douglas Island etc.
Where did you rent your car? Thinking about doing that while we’re there

I’ve been reading some posts and I have a few questions….We’re cruising from Seattle round trip to Alaska. We stop in Victoria in the evening before we return to Seattle. So do we need to test before boarding the ship? We are flying home immediately following the cruise. Do we need to test before we fly home? We live in California
Thank you in advance You guys seem to have all the answers 😊

Our Alaska cruise from Seattle leaves at 4 pm. We’re in concierge elite+ Any idea of when we can check in?

We have booked and paid for dinners in specialty restaurants…will they add an additional charge?

I don't believe that is correct. The 1 category upgrade is a Captain's Club benefit for the Captain's Club member to enjoy. Perhaps it's the agency that is giving the upgrade.

Sign in to your reservation and see what's offered in the cruise planner. Offers vary from sailing to sailing.
Haven’t booked yet. Thought I’d get info from this site. Lots of info here

We haven’t booked yet. I did get and offer from an agency that said if 1 person has a captain’s club membership all rooms would get the 1 category upgrade
-
Hi there. We’re taking a family cruise vacation and are paying for their rooms. Will our benefits be applied to their rooms? We are elite plus.
can you buy a pass to use the aqua spa? How much are they?
do you get a discount on specialty dining packages or only individual bookings?
thank you in advance☺️

There's a Subway on the same block as the CP...kind of just around the corner...but, seriously...you can get that any time back home...
But, for about the same price as what you'll pay for two skimpy Subway sandwiches, two bags of chips and two soft drinks, you can go the other direction down the block to Green Onion and sit down to a great Mexican meal with REALLY good food...A Taco plate for two is only $16...Two item combo dinners with more than you can eat are only $10.95...Heck, not hungry? A one item combo is $8.50...and this is MUCH better than Subway any day of the week...
Menu (greenonionmexicanrestaurant.com)
Don't settle for bad fast food in uncomfortable seating when there are so many reasonably priced good choices in the same area. Trust me, you won't ever see Mexican food this good back home in Michigan...
Agreed!
