We are staying at the Crown Plaza the night before.  There is a place a block away called the Campagnon Wine Bistro.  Has anyone been there?

Excellent French bistro food. Nice ambiance. Owners both working and greeting

  2. Ok. I’m having a hard time understanding the Mlife/celebrity benefits. So yesterday I called Mlife to match my elite+ status on celebrity. They called celebrity and said we were now platinum with Mlife. We have few if any points on Mlife from gambling. Do we get any benefits sailing on celebrity?  Thanks for your help!

PS. Love following along on the live blog. Are considering doing this cruise next year

  3. -- So... I have a question. How does it work if they load drinks on your card? What types of things can you order at a bar? Are there certain wines or wines up to a certain price point? Can you upgrade if you want a better wine? We've always had a eve rage package...this will be our first time using these... thanks

  5. Perhaps they are asking if you'd be willing to pay to upgrade your drinks at the captains club evening event. I believe the alcohol poured is not at the premium level

While I was completing the survey, I often came back to the phrase "Captain's Club Beverage Pkg"....the Bev. Pkg. perk is one offered with your cruise booking and for which you pay more than base price. I'd really like to know why the survey refers to CClub in many questions. It couldn't have been referring to the CC happy hour as the survey mentioned 'upgrading to premium beverage pkg', etc. Do you think they're considering replacing the cruise perk with one which will be offered at a reduced price to CC members and perhaps priced according to level of membership?
  6. I was on this cruise last year on the Eclipse....I think there was only one but they're always on sea days, so look at your itinerary and you can figure out which night it will be. FYI evening chic is anything that does not include blue jeans, tee shirts or shorts. If you bring a pair of black jeans and a lacy or gauzy type top you'll be fine. Gentlemen do not need suits, although they should certainly feel comfortable if they wear one. Mine wears dress slacks with a long sleeve button shirt.....no tie...no jacket. It's a fantastic cruise and the waterfalls are exquisite. Not to be missed: the Flam RR and a boat ride in either Stavenger or Geiringer. If you're a music lover, then add in the Grieg home.

Btw. Where do you catch the flam railroad?
