Thanks cwn
---To Retiredand Travel: In our recent Explorer cruise, we tried different Red wines available and found Cline Cashmere very pleasant and acceptable, couple other ones also OK.
--The prices on "wines for purchase" were very reasonable, FYI

Thanks for the wine list. Very underwhelming list of Reds at Compass Rose. If I'm looking correctly several are <$10.
Where do you see the wine list?

Stickman, are you saying "total" number for Japan is similar to Australia or the %? if total, then I will have high hopes for our October Japan cruise on Muse
-
Why do you think Japan will not be open by September?

Just to add/confirm above, in our recent Explorer cruise in January, I always ordered Americano coffee (everywhere)and enjoyed it....AND agree 100% with "night time' chocolate!!

Received word March 7 from SS that Black Sea ports of call on our July 10 Spirit departure have been dropped with substitute ports added in Greece.
Did you get which Greece ports have been added? thanks

@Travelwithstyle here is a listing of the regular wines available on our November Explorer cruise. We have seen many of these wines on different Regent ships. Each evening in Compass Rose, a different red or white is offered on the menu. You can always ask for something different.
We (my wife and I) are exclusive RED wine drinkers, and we both feel the Cline "cashmere" and Raymond B wine listed above were "decent" choices (tried them in January cruise)

Mediterranean Cruise on Silver spirit in July, shows no increase in Price.

Other use for OBC would be wines of higher quality for purchase, prices are very reasonable.

What does "poky dark" little room mean?

Hi nw
First of all, there is a Roll Call for this cruise, you should come there and ask your questions...
I have been waiting to hear back from a "Bordeaux" tour guy about "lifting restrictions", hopefully will hear in next few weeks, if you join in Roll call, I will find you and let you know

One thing you can use it for is to pay for the upgraded shore excursions that cost extra. AFIK, that is all you can do in advance. Onboard, you can shop and/or purchase wines from Regent's version of the Connoisseur List.
I am hoping that Regent will offer special wine tasting dinners and/or lunches similar to Crystal's Vintage Room. If anyone knows what will be offered in that regard, more information would be very welcome. What other options did I fail to mention?
I don't know about the OBC being able to be refundable in cash, but I suspect that in most cases that is not possible.
Regent does offer wine tasting "Lunches", a little "pricey", cost is a little higher than Crystal's "dinner" version, so we didn't try it.
--However, the wines that you can buy (lunch or dinner) had VERY reasonable prices, probably as good or better than Crystal (price wise)
Above is based on my very recent (but limited) experience with Regent. Hope it helps a little

"I could not disagree more. I have found the quality of the entertainment on Regent to be at least as good as that on Crystal."
I am glad you feel that way, seeing you have not been on regent since Covid started, and I hope that entertainment quality IMPROVES once Covid over. When I mentioned the disappointing quality of entertainment to a very "Regent experienced" couple we met on board, they immediately replied that Covid has been a big factor affecting entertainment quality

Just a comment after ONE cruise on Regent:
--Don't expect Crystal's entertainment quality, you will be (extremely) disappointed
--Food is as good or better, both quality and service
--We are booked on 3 more Regent cruises and look forward to them, and hope entertainment quality will improve after "covid factor " gone

We were on Explorer 1/3-1/19/22 and AGREE with very poor quality of Acapulco excursion. Overall included excursions were disappointing on this cruise

I have been inquiring about July 10 cruise, through TA, and so far, there is no change in itinerary.
Planning to do a port-to-port reservation in 2-3 weeks. Anybody else has any thoughts/experience in port-to port?

Thanks Jollyjones

Still would like to know if cabins with shower only more space have left in bathroom.

Thanks, but I understand some veranda suites have shower only, and possibly more space left in bathroom?
