Is this true? If I bring my own wine, with a corkscrew, can I drink it in my cabin without having to pay a corkage fee?
Nope if they find your wine they will hold it.

.2 loss it was a close one! Ha .. lots of stresses this week with my baby graduating and trying to figure out what's next. Long story about that so I won't go into it today but am reminded how graduations means so many different things.

Hello glad to have had a good week - one day at a time! Last night went to the movies and shockingly didn't buy anything but a diet soda. I'm not missing the junk! I haven't weighed myself since Tuesday. Next week I'll be on this schedule. Using a new app where I track my goals to assist me in this journey.
peace!

New here do y'all weigh in once a week? I am cruising in November down 2 pounds. 😁

I recently booked a trip that included air. The cruise consultant advised me to let them know if we would like to book a few days early into port to let them know. It is a 15 day cruise and I'm pretty sure we will boom one night ahead of the cruise to see the port (Rome).

Thanks for the review we will be in some of those ports soon!

We're booked on a 2 week cruise over the holidays, leaving the Saturday before Christmas coming back on the Saturday after New Years.
I have written to NCL guest relations & the Apostle of the Sea, a catholic organization that places priests on cruise ships at the request of the cruise line.
This voyage has 3 Mass requirements. Yes I can go to Church in port on Christmas & the following Sunday but I'm at Sea on the 1st Sunday. Has anybody ever had success persuading a cruise line to place a priest on board? I know HAL always has a priest but I love this itinerary
If you have issues with the Catholic Church, I'm sorry for your pain but please refrain from bashing my faith on this thread.
The last NCL Cruise I was on was over Easter and there wasn't a service provided because they did not get a volunteer to lead it. It sounds like either visit a church in port or find a retired priest to join you. Peace!

Harvest Caye lists a catch and release fishing excursion with NCL. I am wondering what other excursions are available?

I've learn something -a) there is a vibe pass (I had no idea) b) I'm too cheap to buy one.

@halegliss see what ashleyriley said and that pretty much sums it up. Plus the thriller. If you learn the wobble and cha cha slide, you will be prepped for all the ship parties. Be on time for them if you want to do those dances, they start ON TIME and usually put all the good stuff at the beginning.
if you’re looking to dance in the manhattan room then as one poster suggested, try to learn the lindy hop or something simple along those lines, and you will have all eyes on ya! I once tore up the epic’s manhattan room dance floor during dinner with all sort of of steps and turns and twirls, and even though I had no idea what I was doing, I just kept mumbling “fake it till we make it fake it till we make it” to my dance partner...and all eyes were on us! You’ll feel like you’re on an episode of Strictly Come Dancing!
Thanks for the suggestions this week I decided to see if there are dance lessons out there we might take.

With the popularity of the beverage package promo, neither the dancer nor any witnesses will care. Bust any move that you can.
Probably true but mainly we meaning my spouse and I learn ahead so we can enjoy the time more. It extends our cruise into fun pre cruise activities...and as our adult children will confess we have no qualms with how we look doing it! Lol

I would like to learn some dances to prepare for our cruise in November. We will be on the getaway and I was wondering are there any style dances that would be fun to know for the trip?

I am clergy and have performed international ceremonies for us couples. Typically they get married but a justice in their state then I perform the wedding at a beautiful location. It was more relaxed and less expensive.

If you do decide to eat at one of the specialty restaurants- you can make your reservation ahead on line. They start to fill up fast. One thing that has changed if you order some coffees in the garden room there is a charge- the garden room is my favorite because it is not buffet style. They have limited hours for each meal.

I am looking to book something as a surprise for my husband for our 15th wedding anniversary in November of 2020. Only problem is, the only cruise showing for then is POA for Hawaii. I am thinking more of a Eastern Caribbean. When do these usually show up on NCL to book? I have only booked a year in advance so I'm not sure how booking out further works.
Also I am thinking of booking a Haven Spa Suite. Thoughts?
It’s our 30th then.. congrats! I have the same and have noticed they start posting 17- 19 months ahead.

You have to call BOA because the meta upgrades are only from/to certain categories. It also cannot be combined with CAS bookings (made it useless to me). There are a lot of restrictions, they may not even apply it to a booked cruise so my best advice is to call them.
I am need up just reading them for a 200 credit on our cruise account. It made the most sense for our awesome trip!

For many reasons (mainly budget) we will have to skip our usual longer cruise and were thinking of trying a shorter one. Since we are in our 60's and not real heavy drinkers we were trying to figure out what time of year we would probably fit in better. Would late November/early December be less of a party crowd? I am thinking no school holidays or spring breakers likely at that time. I was thinking of sailing out of Miami. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.
We did a short weekend cruise before thanksgiving out of New Orleans and it was wonderful.

I don't have anything specific, but I couldn't help but think of Ernest Hemmingway. I was addicted to his books when I was in high school.
Thanks small side note my mother was from Spain and met him once. :)

We did the ‘duck’ tour so we could hear the history of the area and see the totem poles. It ended way early with plenty of time to walk around. It is a lovely port

My neighbor is a big cruiser. Her tips were very helpful - take post it notes to leave notes in the cabin or doors. Bring a highlighter to highlight your daily for which items you want to do and bring a shoe carrier (over the door) to hang small things, like your hair brush etc.
My own list includes now: Bring paper copies of your trip reservations and plans, systems can be down, not work right etc and I have corrected a rental car error based on my paper history. Bring your own medicines aspirin, etc. as buying any on board or in port can be difficult and pricey.
