OMG, this is TOO funny!!
Enjoy your cove!
-
Thank you! This is real useful information.
I appreciate the pictures - for some reason I thought the FS would be bigger.
-
You might not see the same rate if you wait until after the weekend. For $120 OBC and a chance for a better location, I would call and move NOW.
-
Contrary to others, I always stay in the MIA area. EB hotel or Comfort Suites MIA North, etc.
But I always have a rental car to move around. While some say it's not a safe area, we've been staying there for years but not moving around on foot.

Could someone who has already sailed answer this question?
On the sailings where the VAT had been implemented, has this affected the price of the internet packages?
-
1. Yes, if you cancel your cruise, the Cruise Cash is fully refundable.
2. The agency you booked your cruise with should apply your VIFP number to your booking. This takes 2 minutes of their time.
-
I would move to the OV in a split second. You get more space, 2 bathrooms (one with a tub), natural light.
Being on deck 1 means that you're closer to your cabin when getting on/off the ship at the ports.
Everything will be just one elevator ride away.

That's what the cruise line wants you to believe. I have downgraded from balcony to ocean view, from suite to balcony a number of times. Even as Early Saver. A TA will do this for you without any problem.

If you are a hilton member. its free to join. Than you get free bottle water and free wifi without paying for premium room.
I am a Hilton Honors member. So, that's why the free water and free wifi.
We were upgraded to the Premium floor, so I wasn't sure what did or did not come with the room.
I loved the ES breakfast, but will stay next door at the Hyatt Place for a lower rate and more free stuff (like parking).
-
For future reference - you can call Carnival's toll free number for free via Skype when you're abroad.
-
I've stayed in one of their premium rooms. Free water bottles, premium wifi.
But I would only do it again if I get a free upgrade.
-
Any time you book with a group, the group needs to be finalized by Carnival before your cabin is visible on your boarding pass. You are able to see it online, but not on your documentation.
In your case, you are way past final payment so your agent should have requested this long time ago.
Give them a call (Carnival will do this in less than a day) and then you're able to see your cabin number on your luggage tag, boarding pass and general information.

He changed his last name to be part of his middle name... Like from de le Michaud to just Michaud.
Then this will be VERY easy to do and will take like 5 minutes tops.
-
Did his first AND last name change?
If not, you can just Carnival and they will change it for you. In case they need proof, you can fax them his old and new ID.
I change names for married and divorced people all the time without any penalties. Remember to have them update his VIFP profile as well.

Too many inconsistencies in those threads.
I'm waiting for better information as well. Specific information rather than speculations.

We're trying to find out the cost of the Premium internet package on the Vista for 10 days.
Does anyone who has been on the ship for a 10-day sailing have this information?
-
I welcome the change. The more options, the better.
There will always be other for-free options. Since I'm a foodie, I love to try new things and these prices are great.
-
For the gift cards being credited for the cruise final payment, am I able to do that if I booked with a TA?
This is no problem at all. Carnival gift cards are accepted for paying off your cruise and any TA can do this in the booking engine. They nor you need to call Carnival for this.
On your Bottomless Bubbles question - they will NOT fill your Yeti. You will get your soda in a regular glass/cup. Or you can ask them to give you the entire soda can.
Enjoy your cruise!
-
Yes, as a suite guest you will have priority boarding.
Let Carnival link your 2 reservations as a B2B. You will receive instructions in your cabin at the end of your first leg.
Once everyone has disembarked, someone from Guest Services will take you and other B2B guests down to customs and you turn around and get on the ship. Guest Services will give you your new S&S cards, champagne and you get to take your picture and receive 2 copies for free.
If you're switching cabins, just pack your stuff and your cabin steward will move these for you. You don't have to pack the clothes on hangers. Do inform your cabin steward, though.
Have fun!
-
I would switch. If you know beforehand that there will be so much noise, I certainly would not pay top dollar for that cabin.
-
I think sometimes the OBC is per person and sometimes it is per stateroom.
This is the correct answer.
-
Is it not possible to make a reservation for Cucina and the steakhouse when you are onboard?
Yes, it is. But most people want to make sure they have their preferred date and time reserved (for instance, Sea Days are very popular for the Steakhouse).
-
Both Early Saver and Past Guest have penalties if you cancel after your final payment date.
-
Well, darn. I was JUST about to switch cruises -- from a Havana Suite on the Vista to the Harmony of the Seas and then I came across this review.....
Cancellation, no insurance, no refund, WHAT?

But if he does, he will not even get the port charges back.
