Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We are going in May and will review for you. Can't wait! B
  2. Hello, We have a trip booked through TripAdvisor for Lake Bled and Ljubljana Tour from Trieste. Looking forward to it! They pick up at hotels in Trieste or at the cruise port if you prefer. B
  3. Thank you for all the replies! Much appreciated! I'm thinking we may use this as a people-watching stop and just relax into the day. This is a very port-centric cruise so it might do us good to have a no plan type of day. We're foodies though, so I'll probably look into restaurants for a leisurely lunch where we can enjoy the sites and ambiance. Thank you again!
  4. Hello, We are booked on a cruise stopping in Cannes at the same time as the Cannes Film Festival usually takes place. Has anyone had any experiences with this? I'm wondering if the itinerary is likely to change or be cancelled due to excessive yacht traffic in the port. I realize it's a tender port for our ship (NCL Escape), but thought it likely to be cancelled or switched. Any words of wisdom from the more experienced? TIA
  5. Thank you I just looked them up. Definitely better than doing a ships tour!
  6. Hello, We will be in port with 5 other ships and are looking for advice. We were planning on taking the train into Rome but with so many ships in port that day, we are now rethinking it. I don't want to get stuck with so many extra people in port that day and am now debating doing a tour so I won't have to worry about getting back to the ship. We have never been to Italy and don't want to miss such a wonderfully historic city, but also don't relish the idea of sitting on a bus with 50 or so other tourists. Hubby and I almost never take ships tours as we don't like standing around waiting for so many people to get on and off busses, etc. Our last ship tour in the Caribbean we waited almost an hour and a half on the bus for stragglers to arrive. I'd almost rather pass on Rome. Thoughts? Recommendations for smaller tour companies? Any help would be much appreciated!
