Recent history and countless posts would contradict that opinion. Just out of curiosity, when was the last time you sailed, because that has not ben our recent MDR experience.
same.. when I asked for the waiter to put them all down at once, he said he was not allowed to.

I have friends who boarded the Seascape today, who said the waiter in the main diningroom told them they could only have 1 from each category?? when did this change? I knew more than 1 main incurred a fee, but I thought we could have more than one appetizer and dessert without a fee?
Also, main diningroom isn't open for breakfast??

do I need to use a credit card for my cruise account? or can I use cash?

if my docs say 3pm, can I still show up around 11am and hope to get on earlier? Has anyone done this and gotten on the ship earlier?

I have a friend sailing MSC in October asking me all sorts of questions i dont have answers to — What is the price for a can of pop and what is the price for a small bottle of water?
-
And does Seascape use the key card? or wrist bands?

My friend will be on the Seascape Sept 3-10 2023 and is wondering if she is allowed to carry on a 12 can case of pop? Does anyone have a copy of the daily newletter that is left in your stateroom? I don't know what MSC calls it?

thank you 🙂 Also.. they are going on the Seascape in Sept 3 2023 - can they arrive at the terminal at 10am even if their docs say to arrive at 2 or 3pm?

mosiegirl, Please don't be unduly alarmed by the post after yours, warning of all the things that could go wrong. That poster seems to be a magnet for mishaps, perhaps sparing most of the rest of us any negative experiences.
When is your friend's cruise, and on what ship?
If you, or friend, have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
her and her husband will be on the Seascape Sept 3-10 2023 - I am hoping someone can answer some of my friends questions?

We got our tickets & luggage tags over a week ago for our Sept. 25th cruise.
Are these things they email you? or do you have to log onto their website and hunt down?

Somebody who has a negative experience will probably post it. Somebody who, like us, has a wonderful experience, will probably not bother to post anything, just come home and bask in the glow.
I seems that the elements that are "different" on MSC are what lead some to see negatives. Service is more European/formal, less friendly/gushy. Some see that as cold and uncaring. Some complain about things like lack of butter. Butter with bread is not a European thing. We did not experience any rude passengers, but maybe not always getting a response to "Hey, how are ya?" is somebody's idea of rude.
It is those differences that we enjoy; the feeling of being away rather than somewhere close to home with hundreds of our neighbors (as we feel on RC).
I have a friend who is going for the first time.. I'm hoping you can help answer some questions? If they wanted Butter for their bread, can they get it? will the server bring it? For the stateroom, is it tended to twice a day? or once? and will my friend have option of morning or turndown service? What is the plastic card called that you use to unlock your stateroom door with? Can my friend use cash to put on their card on day 1? Is MSC a Pepsi, or Coke ship? What is the buffet area called? They paid in full, logged onto the MSC website, and can't find edocs anywhere? like, their proof of booking etc? Does the port give you your plastic stateroom card? or is it in an envelope when you get to your stateroom on day 1?

i have cruised 9 times..i always have a mobilty scooter with me..no issues getting on and off in port other than sometimes it can be a bit steep depending on the tide.. but if you are well experienced with your scooter you should be fine..enjoy
