There were cucumber sandwiches on the magic a few weeks ago.

They also have a selections of better teas to pay for.   Under $2.

Yes.. and be wary of this..  we used to enjoy the tea time on the ships years ago.. but on our last cruise last year, we both picked a tea, ripped open the packet, dunked it in our hot water,  and THEN the waiter came asking for our room cards.. yikes!   we had no idea the bags we picked had the "surcharge".. until it was too late.. so be wary.. and ask first.

  2. I will be on Conquest Sept 21 2020 and it stops in Key West.   I remember once hearing that there are two ports in Key West..   and when I sailed on the Imagination many years ago, the port it stopped at in Key West was a military post/port so you could not get off the ship unless you had an excursion booked..  you couldn't just get off and walk around..   For my upcoming cruise, how would I know which part of Key West it is going to port at?

  4. Can anyone confirm if Conquest Cabin 6208 has the two twin beds AND sofa?      I see on some sites that it does have the sofa, and other sites says it does not have the sofa?    Would love to have it confirmed please.. if you know anyone who personally stayed in this cabin.. thx  :)

  5. You said it perfectly !!! They also have a special dessert in the main diningroom.. The year we went it was little coffin shaped cakes and little tombstone shaped cakes. Hubby really enjoyed it.. Halloween is his birthday.. We are going again this year on the Glory..

  6. Does anyone have the current 7 day menu's? I would love to browse them please..

Do you know if lobster is still on the menu without a surcharge? I know it's always on there with a nominal surcharge daily.

Do you know who the cruise director will be on the Glory in October of this yr?

  7. Hi.. we are flying into Fort Lauderdale for our cruise. I will be in a bariatric wheelchair (heavy duty 350lb+) and have great difficulties walking. One of my greatest difficulties is pulling my foot up to step into a vehicle.. so we are looking to get one of those Taxi/Van's that either have the hydrolic lift on the side.. or the two back doors open and I can drive my wheelchair right up into the back.

Can someone let me know what company there is that has these types of taxi vans?

  8. just curious.. is there a reason you are taking your own scooter and not renting one?? there are companies that rent out scooters and have them ready and waiting for you in your cabin when you arrive.. you are allowed to take the scooter off the ship when in ports.. i personally recommend SPECIAL NEEDS AT SEA .. i have rented my 350lb+ scooter from them at least 8 times.. with no regrets.. something to think about.. you can google their web address and phone

  9. Taking a Royal Caribbean cruise. These are the 2 scooter companies who service Royal. I’d love to hear the good, bad and ugly about both. Trying to decide which to book a heavy duty scooter through. Thanks!

I have rented the heavy duty 350lb+ scooter from Special Needs At Sea for almost 10 yrs now each time we cruise. .and i have been thoroughly pleased. Its a nice 3 wheeled easy to handle Pride Victory 10 scooter(look it up) very smooth comfy ride and long battery life. I liked it so much I bought my own when I got home after our first cruise. When you rent with them they have it waiting in your room when you get there..

  10. If they did get rid of the libraries, they could make into a nice spot for the 18 to 20 year old's to meet or hangout in.

agreed.. my daughter will be 19 with us when we cruise next.. and she started at 11.. she enjoyed the programs that were offered..but now, with nothing offered for the 18-20 she wonders what she will do with her time.

  11. We can be sure when the brand ambassador asks if we like something it will be history shortly thereafter. ;)

for sure!! and to add in the last 5 yrs I've been cruising when he asked about the following items they soon went bye bye -

dish of goodies in the bathroom

    chocolates on the bed

    twice ice in the room

twice beds made and turned down

    pens/note pad

    dining room bitter and blanc

shrimp cocktail disappeared for while, but reappeared

  12. I have cruised 7 times and I always rent a heavy duty scooter from SpecialNeedsAtSea.. they have been wonderful.. they have it in my cabin waiting for me when I get there. And YES YES it is STRONGLY recommended that you get an accessible cabin.. you must store the scooter in your cabin. .and these cabins give you the space you need. Just saying..

  13. We leave the 9th from Fort Lauderdale on the Conquest for our first cruise. I am watching this hurricane like a crazy woman. I know I can't change the weather but I did so much research into our ports!!!

I hope she doesn't cause to much distruction or ruin to many vacation plans.

I will be on this exact same cruise with you. If anything, they might change our Eastern Intinerary to a Western.. due to Irma..

  14. I have an excursion booked in amber cove through carnival will they refund?

yes.. YES.. if you booked your excur through Carnival, and they miss the port due to weather.. they will reimburse you the price you paid for the excur PLUS a small nominal port fee will be reimbursed to you aswell. :)

  15. I also sail Sunday. Don't think Amber Cove next Thursday is happening! I figure there will be an itinerary change - maybe Western instead? As long as the ship sails I'm on vacation and don't care!

Same, I sail out Sat Sept 9.. am very very worried about Irma.. and how it will impact our Eastern cruise.. but I"ll be just happy to be on the ship.. I don't care where she goes..
