  1. Did Alaska last year , first week of October. You will roll the dice with weather . Last year extremely warm / nice . The following week was rainy /cold. Did not see Northern lights, I suppose there may be a better chance later in month. Yes , various shops closed. Excusions, I would do research to find out which ones would be closed. We did the Mendenhall hike , (nice weather) thought it was over rated. Probably look for something else to do next time. They say the winter season starts Oct 1 so I would be prepared. Be prepared for the worst , then if things go good it is a bonus. You do catch a break of ships rates going that late in Oct.
  2. Looking for suggestions, visiting in mid Sept. first time to Bermuda. Older couple mid 60's , looking for things to do, excursions , restaurant suggestions. Any must do things.
  3. Booked for a cruise in 2023 @ 50% off sale . Then checked again for the "Black Friday sale" that just came out the rate was almost 10% higher.
  4. Gave it directly to server at end of meal just before leaving.
  5. On 10/2 we sailed the Encore Seattle to Alaska , in the Haven penthouse , there were 2 of us. Not sure of the tipping protocol ....we just winged it. Our tipping breakdown; Haven drink servers: $2, each trip when we were not at the bar. $20 total Room steward: $140 Haven Restaurant hosts (2) : $40 each Butler: $200 Asst. Concierge and Concierge: $100, each Haven Bartenders; $20 x 5 times each night Specialty Dining ; $20 x 2 times Haven dining $20 x 3 times
  6. Here is my rant So I booked an Oct Cruise , on Encore , HAVEN Suite . I did not use NCL free air offered as I wanted to go on my time . I did book the ground transfer .... 27pp one way x 2 My plans have changed ... so I changed my flights. Now trying to cancel the ground transfer , it states on NCL web up to 22 days with no penalties ... I am 51 days out. I have chatted with NCL operator #1 ... who says according to their rule book ,I have to pay full penalty. Now waiting for another operator different dept. to try to resolve Been on hold for over 1 hr . to change a $54 fee . *****...... about principle ..not money for me. Anyone else have problems getting credit or refunds due.?
