Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thank you. Might swerve the shuttle then! We are in Boston then NYC for few days before the cruise, and it will be our 4th trip to NYC. So I think we may have a mooch around for a couple of hours. Public transport looks like a good option. Uber to Penn station, train to Newark, Airtrain to terminal.$34 for both of us. It’s just a shame it’s not JFK as it’s a piece of cake getting there on LIRR x
  2. Hello lovely people. We are on Breakaway out of NYC next weekend. We are looking at transfers from cruise terminal out to Newark to pick up our flight home at end of cruise. NCL offer them at a fairly reasonable price door to door. I want to book but I am interested to find out the time of the transfer. NCL can’t give me an answer. We don’t fly until 5.40, but don’t want to be taken to airport at 9am or a similarly early time. Anyone have experience of it or have any clues as to the likely time? Thank you!
  3. We are flying to Barcelona tomorrow at 7am, out of Liverpool thankfully, to pick up Epic on Sunday. We’ve done this cruise before but my daughter and boyf are coming with us this time. Our 35th wedding anniversary and their 9th anniversary! But I’m having definite menopause brain fog - as I can’t remember from last time - do they have hairdryers in cabins? also do they still offer the laundry bag deal midweek? thank you for your help!
  4. The NCL information is vague. We have purchased our own tests and are doing video supervised test on Friday as we fly to Barcelona on Saturday and pick up Epic on Sunday. I have tried to find out if we need to complete a passenger locator form…..again information is pitifully poor. So if anyone has the definitive answer I’d be really grateful! thank you
  5. Every cruise we’ve done DIY shore trips with no problems. We are doing western Med on 5th June. Last time we used Tuscany Bus for transfers to Italian cities. I have been looking round again, but wondered if you seasoned experts had any recommendations? We will need return transfers from the port to Rome, Pompeii and Florence. Don’t want to be paying stupid money, but equally don’t want to be late back for boarding. THANK YOU xx
  6. We’ve ordered Randox tests. Done via video. Easy.
  7. Just checked in. Fairly easy, if lengthy process. Two issues - it wouldn’t verify my flights. Despite multiple attempts. But we have booked these independently and so eventually I clicked no flights just to get through the process. I’m guessing it’s more about flogging you a transfer anyway. also, I’m using Randox for our pre cruise covid tests. Substantially cheaper than NCL option. But online check in made me register with their own provider. I assume that i can just upload Randox fit to travel cert to this portal anyway, apart from the above we are good to go
  8. Hello We are sailing from Barcelona on 5th June. It is our 4th NCL cruise and our first since COVID. (Well except for a hideous experience on a mini cruise with MSC from Southampton in September 21) and the second time on the Epic. Wondering what the embarkation process is? Will we get a time slot? We are likely to be at the port about 11am ideally. Also, what time do we need to be off the ship on last morning? Can we just walk off with our bags? I much prefer it to handing over my luggage the night before. Finally, does know what the capacity is running at? I’m hearing reports of only a third full but with a full compliment of staff. Thank you Lesley x
  9. It’s cashless onboard. All done through your sea pass
