To be honest, credit for the concept of the Fleet Report (the original title) must go to Lisa @LAFFNVEGAS . She did a ship listing for many years. When she could no longer do it, another member continued it for a while and their source went away at the end of 2018. A couple of months later (Roy @rafinmd has the date) I found a place to get the itineraries from and posted it in case someone wanted to start it up again. A couple of days later I went ahead and posted that days list and have been doing so since. As Roy mentioned, other things were added to get us thru the pandemic and have remained. Everyone chips in when needed, @kazu and @StLouisCruisers have taken on the task of posting when I can't, but the information is prepared in advance and is also available at halfacts.com/daily. Zaandam doesn't have any dedicated solo cabins, you were being quoted a regular outside at a solo price.

Over the years a substantial number of people have posted on CC that they were able, at least on HAL, to get the table they wanted assigned in advance by contacting Ship's Services with a list of two or three preferred tables. It is up to the maitre'd, but the request is commonly filled. I would be interested in finding out where you saw the comments that the maps on HalFacts are not up to date. The people involved in the site can not correct problems unless they find out that the problem exists, and might not see random posts on CC or FB.

The only HAL ship that is in Vancouver on 9/16 is Koningsdam. Koningsdam will be at sea on 9/15 and in Ketchikan, AK on 9/14. edited to add: Majestic Princess will also be in Vancouver on 9/16. The previous port for Majestic Princess is also Ketchikan

A couple of notes here. A debit card can be used for online check in. The hold is not placed on your account until the first day of the cruise. If you wish, you can select the cash option and provide the debit card to the front desk when you arrive. If you use your credit card for online check in, the hold will be placed for the entire cruise. If you change to another card (credit or debit) a hold will be placed on that card for however many days remain on your cruise. If you buy on board credit ahead of time it will not change the amount of the hold.
