  1. We just did this. We have two cabins split between 5 people. 2 children in total. There is really only one adult in the group who wants the package - my husband. We just called CArnival yesterday and asked them to re-arrange the cabins to have the one adult in a cabin with the kids so they could buy the drink package. She was more than happy to make the name changes on paper so that my husband could order the package prior to boarding. Worked out great.

  2. Hi All,

We are flying into San Fran the evening before our cruise to HI in April. Since we are only resting our heads before we head to the port in the morning, can anyone suggest a hotel that will not break the bank that is close-ish to the pier? We would most likley Uber there directly from the airport.

    thanks!

This is an ocean view room.  The upper is above the couch in a balcony room.  My kids love it and fight over it.  But if you leave it closed you will never know it's there.  It looks like this in a balcony cabin.

This is exactly how ours was on the Pride. It was never in the way at all. Worst case we took the ladder off and stored it inthe closet. The kids loved it.

  4. We are big fans of the Pride. Been on her 3 times - most recent was last year. We drive in from Toronto each time. For us it is the perfect size. Never over crowded, no huge lines. Great food choices, awesome shows. You cannot beat Grand Turk and HMC - as seems to be the common response. Internet was dodgy, but makes no difference to us.

  5. We were just on the Pride last week and they still do Muster outside on deck. We had two elderly people - stuck way in the back - just about passed out. The entire group was waving frantically to get the attention of the staff. There at least needs to be concessions for the elderly. It was ridiculous.

  6. Is it cool in Canada? Because I would love to go to Canada if it's less than 90° and 95% humidity. I'm tired of heat and humidity, and palm trees have never been known for their shade factor. :D

In October in will be cool. Definitely a light jacket needed. Not beach weather. If you are looking to see a change of seasons and beautiful colours....head to Canada in October.

  7. We made the "mistake" of not putting a restriction or limit on the kids S&S card. My then 8 year old headed to the arcade for a few minutes while we were trying to pack up (i/s cabin was getting a little cramped with suitcases out). Her brother was not paying much attention to what she was doing while they were both in the arcade. About 45 min later she come back with these earrings (picture cheap dangly junk jewelry) that she said he won. Hmmmm..... Fast forward to later that night when we went to get a print out of the cabin charges at guest services; 2 pages of drinks and miscellaneous purchases - 5 PAGES OF ARCADE CHARGES!! That must be some record in 45 min.

Anyway, we are currently talking about what restrictions will go on - the now 11yr old's - S&S card. I do still have the earrings. :)

  8. Hi Landsear,

We are also sailing the Pride in October and doing an 9 hr drive to and from Baltimore. We considered the FFTF just so we could get OFF early enough to get on the road and make it back to Toronto by night fall - but it is already sold out. You might want to check it out on on your cruise to see if it is still even an option. I have heard that they open it back up sometimes.

  9. My 8 year old had a blast the last time we sailed on the Pride. Lots of arts and crafts that are ship related. Group play with other kids their age. Movies. She wanted to be there ALL the time! They made up little organized plays, danced, sang. It was all she talked about. Towards the end of the week they had an autograph book that all the "counselors" signed and her new friends. Even if you are unsure if you want to utilize it, sign her up when you do your online check-in. That way no need to worry. She can be there as much or as little as you want her to.

  10. These are the exact two ships and itineraries that we were going back and forth between. Ultimately we chose the Pride as we have sailed her before and LOVED IT. Could not find anything negative to say about out vacation. We drive in from Toronto to Baltimore. Doing it again in October and repeating the itinerary as well.

  11. Hi All,

Not a new poster; just forgot my username so had to re-invent myself after a few years. :)

We sailed the Pride about 4 years about and LOVED IT!! We are planning to sail again next year out of Baltimore and I just noticed in a few recent photos that it seems to have gotten an upgrade - new waterslides, outdoor movie screen, new burger place, etc. Does anyone know when this happened?

    Thanks!

    J
