6 yrs ago in Vietnam our Princess excursion was delayed by the local police on the highway back to the ship…long story short - the ship waited for our bus for over an hour, but then sailed without the other mini van on a private excursion. 4 buses were delayed…1 Princess and 3 private mini vans. 2 of the privates slipped through with our bigger bus, but the third was detained and literally missed the boat. They met us at the next port but didn’t have good things to say about their experience.

Our PVP checked our 2 booked cruises…one was $2000+ higher, the other she refaced and saved us $900…evidently Norway is more popular than New Zealand…

After having several drinks charged on our folio, we started using a RFID blocker sleeve. After the second time at guest services to get the bar charges taken off (we don’t drink), they became rather snippy…the blocker was an easier fix then dealing with guest services!

Exact same thing happened to us on Enchanted at the end of October. We had 5 smaller charges plus a final large folio charge. I was upset when I saw the final folio charge that actually became permanent before the initial 5 dropped off (thought I was getting double charged)…after about a week those 5 dropped off on by one. I understand their reasoning, but would have preferred that they just put an initial $500 hold rather than all those weird little details individual charges!

Nice thing about buying internet on board is that they only charge you the discounted rate…no paying regular price before your cruise and then getting OBC once on board

Each ship varies tremendously! Last year to Hawaii I barely knew it was Christmas…other ships it’s been everything from full-on to minimal…wonder who’s in charge of each ship’s holiday celebration?

Dreaminofcruisin is right…booking within a year…cruise whenever…you can even move it over to another cruise farther out as long as it is attached to a booking number…currently have one that is 3 years old attached to a booking

When Princess delivers all the things they’ve promised, I’ll deliver on their suggested dress code…until then my dress code promise is as hollow as theirs😂

We did a round trip out of LA to Hawaii in January 2023 and did NOT need a COVID test whatsoever!

Got tired of the extra charges so bought an RFID sleeve and now keep my medallion it in all the time…no charges anymore!

I’m sure Princess will enforce the “dress code” as stringently as they do the excursion activity level policy…if it takes you 5 minutes to walk down the steps on the bus, you shouldn’t be on the strenuous hiking excursion!

Once you leave the ship on disembark day, you cannot come back-they will be embarking other passengers and dealing with your luggage becomes your problem once you leave

Yes, tried all the suggestions above (thx for those BTW). I want to be in charge of my own booking, making educated choices before booking with my TA…if I called them every time I wanted to check pricing, I’m sure they would block my calls ASAP for taking up so much of their time! I currently have 2 cruises booked that are fully paid for so can’t jump ship quite yet. Celebrity is a bit higher, but will be trying them for 2 cruises next year…. Also tried river cruising last month, so those combined with land tours may be our next new adventures!

For the last week almost every cruise I look at says current pricing not available. Yes, I have reinstalled, cleared caches, restarted, rebooted, deleted…done it all, but all the cruises I have been looking to book say the same thing. The one exception finally showed a price today and it is $1400 more than when I looked a little over a week ago! I have reluctantly been able to put aside my frustrations with all the “new” charges and call center issues, but enough is enough! I know many here have jumped ship to Celebrity or HAL, but I really wanted to stay with Princess. Good-bye Princess, hello Celebrity!

We have heard that summer cruises can be very hot and muggy…June thru August is our travel time, so wondering how bad it will be?

Currently trying to decide whether to book the Crown to Alaska in 2024 and would love some help! The last time we were on her (right before Covid shut down) she was looking very worn and tired with lumpy beds! Has she seen any updates since then or is she still dumpy? I know the crew will be great, but hoping to get some refirb since we last travelled on her…thx so much for any info!

We got both segments of shareholder benefits, but they wouldn’t restock the mini-bar. Seems each ship makes up their own rules…good luck trying to get it elevated…we just got rather indignant responses from ship staff and made to feel like we didn’t know what we were talking about…what happens and what is supposed to happen doesn’t necessarily mesh when you actually get on the ship. They have so many new people making decisions that aren’t familiar with rules or policy, so be prepared for anything. Who knows, maybe you’ll get double mini-bar restocking both times!

Just talked with my long-time PVP and she said my 2 current bookings had been changed to 2 different planners…she said there is a lot of stealing going on
