Thank you!  So, they dont have an unlimited laundry package, or a per bag deal?  Just a "per piece" deal?  Does a pair of socks count as one or two pieces, and socks, or a pair of underwear counts the same as a pair of pants or a jacket?  Seems strange.

No unlimited, and no "bag" deal.  Yes, a pair of socks counts as "1", so does a bra or underwear, or a pair of jeans 😲  No one said it has to make sense but that's the way they do it.

Book a YC interior cabin and then keep fingers crossed for a free upgrade, or put in a minimum bid up price, you might be pleasantly surprised.

They like the word "fjord" too for whatever reasons.

We leave for Norway on the Euribia next week and (not young) hubby and myself crack up every time we say FEEEE-YOOORD 🙂

  4. OMG< Totally agree!! Had the SAME interaction with Concierge William in February.  He literally lied to me outright!!  One the 2nd day of the cruise I asked him why I did not have pringles/toblerone/etc in mini bar.  (Yes, it's minor but I Love it).  He lied and said that "Corporate would not be providing anymore."  I asked when this happened and he said "as of yesterday when you boarded."  It was 100% BS.  I did get it squared out with Melania who is lovely but he needs to go!!

Presently we have the same itinerary booked for Jan 2025.  My feeing right now (subject to change of course) is that I'll absorb the non-refundable deposit and do the same itineray I did on Carnival instead.

@MsTabbyKats   Others have reported moving their non refundable YC booking deposit to a new cruise (using their one free cruise move) but NOT in a YC cabin.  Then cancelling that far enough out to not have any penalty and get a refund.  Seems worth a try other than just losing the $398

Thank you so much for the detailed and super quick response 😁

Do you buy any chance remember the price pp for the MSC "Rome on your own" transfers?

It's funny that the tour bus option I found had the same name for this trip, they are called civitatours and offer a Rome on your own To and from bus trip that costs around 20€ pp.

You can log into your booking to see the price of the excursions.  I think, though, that the Rome on your Own was around $125 pp (don't quote me) so we booked independently.

  8. Last month on Seashore the Diamond meal could not be used at the Sushi (conveyor belt) restaurant or Teppanyaki.  As we are not fans of the Ocean Cay restaurant and I was once given an item with an allergen at Hola (long story but it involved the ship medic and YC Director after the fact) we dined at Butcher's.  Hola is a one and done for us!

    Lost Luggage:  Help

We cruised first time on MSC Seashore. Cruise time was March 14-17... Had great time until exiting.  We were not aware we could keep our luggage with us.  Luggage was taken the night before.  When we left the ship only my luggage was there.  My daughters was gone.  It was a Large dark Brown cloth with D&G on it.  We had a clear plastic tag connect with a strong wire connect.  No possible way someone could have confused it with theirs.

No one reported it and no one has seen it.  Reward if someone could return it.....

Welcome Diannia.  Your best bet would be to go to the Cruise BOARD for the sailing and post there.  It's doubtful that someone from that sailing will open up and read this (old) post.

  10. So I've made the horrible (😉) mistake of having booked a cruise over "month end" for the first time in my five years of indentured servitude...I mean, gainful employment.

As such the boss is making me work remotely to close the financial books while at sea.  For anyone with direct experience, have you been able to VPN into your company from the ship's WiFi?  Or will access be blocked?  (PS I'm in finance, NOT IT, so don't laugh...)

Also, is there a business center on the Euribia in case I have to print out some hard copies?  I can't imagine traveling with a portable printer, though I do see some on Amazon with thermal paper rolls.  If so, does anyone know the cost?  (Back in the "old days" there were business centers with computers and printers on the cruise ships where people would log in and print out airline tickets, etc.  Now with everything being online, I don't see that anymore).

    Thanks in advance.

We have been reading some good thing about Yacht Club and I thought I would search for some cruises and see what itineraries and accommodations are available for a wheelchair user.  Whenever I click to make my cruise accessible I get an error message instructing me to call.  I'd really prefer to do my search in private.

Does anybody know if Yacht Club is inaccessible for wheelchair users?

Yes, the YC is accessible for wheelchair users.  A travel agent can help you find accessible cabins.

I seem to recall this addressed on a couple of other threads, but what's a good time to arrive at the port (again, Seashore/Pt. Canaveral) this Sunday? It's my desire to get on as early as possible in order to make our group dining plans with the YC concierge. Our assigned time is 12:00. Can I arrive/board prior to that? What time does boarding typically begin? Apparently things have been changing at PC (no tent?), so this might be a moving target. With only 1 MSC cruise (Seaside/PC) last year - I don't have much experience with them - other than recalling that it did not seem well organized.

    THANKS

Yes, there is a tent at Port Canaveral.  Last month the rep only came out around 10:45am (as the parking lot opened at 11am).

Boarding really varies based on how fast the last group - and the back to backers - go through the process.  11:30 is fairly safe.
