I will be on the Meraviglia out of PC, Do the workers at the port pay attention to the arrival times on the boarding pass? Or are they like Carnival they don't care they let everyone and their mothers in no matter what time your check in time is

Hello, I will be going on the MSC Meraviglia, this will be my first time on MSC. I am platinum on Carnival and have received the loyalty match with MSC. I do have several questions if anyone could help that would be great 1) For those who have gone on Carnival several times, could you tell me what to expect that will be different, (Checking in online, printing of luggage tags, check in at the port, just the way they do things prior to boarding and once on board compared to Carnival) 2) What restaurants are included for breakfast, lunch and dinner, (I will be in a oceanview, fantastica experience) 3) How much extra are the specialty restaurants ? and when can I book them 4) My special fare includes free drinks and wifi, (what drinks can you get with this pkg? is there a limit? are there certain bars I cannot go to?) 5) What can I get for my Gold match, loyalty, (I was platinum on Carnival) I think that is it, any hints or suggestions or tips would be appreciated. It has been 2 days now, and the boarding pass still says Arrival Time, 10:30 AM boarding Zone A02. Does not say Boarding Zone "Priority" so basically nothing has changed, maybe the line you stand in outside, but not the calling priority to get on the ship, looks like you still have to wait for your zone to be called. Also luggage tags still do not say Priority

Well, according to the letter, you still have to pick an arrival time l, which I understand you had to before but if you didn’t before, are you still can go in with your priority boarding pass because your boarding pass said priority. Mine still has a boarding zone. It does not say priority. Also, I wonder if we get to go into the priority waiting area and not just the suites.

I know parking at Port of Miami is $22 per day, so would a 4 day cruise (thurs-Mon) be $88? Or do they count parking on Monday (5th day) even though you get in your car by 9 am?

Oh I know thats what it says, I am just saying some cruisers were able to have Priority Boarding in some of the home ports, and there were quite a few of them. I don't think they are all lying do you? LOL

Hello all, I belong to a couple different groups in FB. There were comments regarding Priority Boarding for Platinum/diamond. I read some people saying that they were able to have PB in some home ports, but then again others were saying they did not in some others. Did anyone experience this? If yes which ports?

While yes it is true, depending on the port there could be one line with people getting in it, even if their "Arrival Appointment" is later in the day. However once they are inside, what matters most is the Boarding Zone, which the personnel at the port do check for sure, They cannot get on the ship unless their boarding zone is called, and the boarding zone is assigned to you when you do your check-in 2 weeks prior. So if you are platinum you get to check in 16 days prior (2 days before everyone else), so not only your arrival appointment will be early but so will your boarding zone. That means you will get on that ship prior to those who were in front of you with a later arrival appointment. Hope that makes sense.

OMG so funny you say that , I say the same thing here. When going on RCL or NCL and comparing it to Carnival. For me the fun does not compare to Carnival. I always say "I can 't believe they don't have this Carnival does" OR "I can't believe they don't do this Carnival does". I guess its human nature to compare to what you are used to. I have to tell you Nothing compares to the free food offerings on Carnival that they have at lunch especially on the Mardi Gras, and on that ship even 5 free dinner options not just buffet and Main dining rooms, and about 10 free places for lunch. Options I Love options, I get bored quickly

Hi We are going on the Celebration and I was wondering has anyone stayed on a Forward Premium Extended Balcony on the Mardi Gras (sister ship)? If so there is a note that says they will have obstructed views. Can you tell me if you enjoyed those balconies and how bad were the obstructed views? Thank you. My choice as far as extended balconies is either one of those balconies mentioned above, or and extended balcony on the side (which we loved last time) however for this cruise it is on Deck 15, right below the Blue Iguana Cantina and do not want to hear the movement in the morning especially with people dragging chairs etc. Thank you
