I prepaid before I parked. Was easy. They don't take cash at the check points

Thanks for the support, all - I'm a very high strung planner, so any deviation from standard sends me to seek help. Lol at myself. :)
Hahaha we should be friends...Glad it all worked out for you! :D

Proximity to Port. In the middle of Georgia, can get to many ports within 8 hours +/-
If I had to add on flights, then it might be a deal breaker for us.
The two cruises we will fly for will be Alaska and the Mediterranean :) Those are our bucket list!!

Just off Sunshine. I could not use my husband's card to get him a drink. I tried at coffee bar and several other bars. They told me he needs to be with me.
That's a bummer. This was so convenient when my SO was getting drinks for us. I'd just give him my card. Bummer.

I made reservations on line and it took a good three days to get an email confirmation. I'd send another one, but that's me.

I agree with you. We ate in the MDR each night. There were always many things we liked and had to choose one. Maybe one dish was so so, but it was all so plentiful. We also really enjoyed the sea day brunch, can you say filet mignon. It was amazing.
We only at lunch one time at the buffet, on embarkation day.
The Blue Igana and Guys Burgers were also a yummy alternative.

It was my experience that I had to wait the 5 minutes. Even for a bottle of water. It is what it is.

Epic balcony cabins are really small, no space at all (maybe 18 inches) at the end of the bed or between the sofa and the cupboard, and hanging out by the toilet isnt that much fun to watch or listen.
Sounds like I made a good decision. :)

I read a review that Mitsugurly wrote about sailing in the studio cabins. If you do a search I am sure you can find it. I would love to sail this way. Two bathrooms and my own space.
Candi
Thank you I found it. So many threads to sort though. Thank you so much!! :)

Just what I needed to read, thank you!

Thank you both. I did look at upgrading from our studios to a Balcony, and it more than we are paying now. I think we got a pretty good rate for the studio since I book so early.
I'm glad to know about the reservations, one less thing to be concerned with.
Thank you so much for the feedback, since it's such a short cruise I think the set up will be ok.
Thanks again!

So my now fiancé and I booked two studio cabins earlier this year for a short get away (no kids).
We have since gotten engaged and will be newly married by the time the cruise rolls around.
I have been contemplating switch our bookings (which are separate, another story), but I am unsure.
Our rooms are connecting so we will be right next to each other. We are a middle aged couple who live together, so the newness has worn off. We are ok with having our own space.
Plus it would be nice to have two bathrooms, since he's a boy and he's stinky lol
Has anyone had experience cruising with your partner or SO in studio cabins?
How was your experience?
My biggest concern would be making specialty dining reservations so that we can sit together. Would this be a big hurdle to overcome?
Thanks for the assistance, I am new to NCL and their ways on the water.
Cheers,
Melissa

We booked ahead of time. Super easy on the website.
Remember the bar doesn't open until 11am and the grill at 1130.
There were five ships when we went and it was super busy.
The voucher covered most of our four meals and 5 drinks. I think I paid an extra $20
We got their fairly early around 1000 and had our pick of beach chairs.
We enjoyed it, and would recommend it.

Get specially coffees. Every time you walk by a bar get a bottle of water. The Alchemy bar has amazing drinks, one before dinner and their chocolate martini after. We loved it. We honestly probably won't do cheers again. After day 3 it was working to continuing to drink to cover our cost. Just enjoy you're on vacation.

I treat my cruises like a layaway vacation. With the initial deposit paid, then a certain percentage every pay period it's paid off in full. It can be done. :)

We loved the dinner in the MDR. Maybe one or two items wasn't mind blowing but we ate. We love food. We ate in the MDR every night. And on sea days :)

You could also try Norwegian they have SOLO rooms for one. And no double fare. Good luck.

This was our favorite bar on the ship. The drinks were amazing and freshly made.
We hit this before and after dinner with our cheers program.
If you notice at the other bars, the mixes are premade and weak.
These are hand made and pure indulgence!

My daughter had two taco salads while on our last cruise, and I found that they gave lettuce and other items, sparingly.
They add more, but you definitely need to ask for more, lettuce for example.

I'm 8 mo out. 0 for me yet
Wow, how can you plan?? (Shakes fist to the Norwegian God's) [emoji23]

Very good point squish. I'm just going to the Bahamas. Those excursions I can't imagine change that often. I'm just a planner and want everything paid for prior too. Thanks for all the feedback. :)

Ecstasy Coffee Bar vs JavaBlue Cafe
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
I don't recall seeing a Java Blue. The Coffee shop on board can provide all those speciality coffees for a fee. They even have desserts.
