The Oasis is a beautiful ship. We sailed on her in January 2014. I chose that ship because I wanted to experience all she had to offer. Yes it's huge, there's a lot to see and do. Don't miss the aqua show, every evening on deck 8, Central Park there was beautiful music. The only thing I wasn't fond of is that you need to plan which nights to go to which events, because of limited space. It was harder to be spontaneous. Would I sail her again? Absolutely. There are plenty of places to eat, try new things.
It was our first visit to St. Thomas, loved it there. You dock literally steps away from things to do there. Unlike having to walk a mile from the pier to find a taxi in some ports.
Go ahead and take your trip on the Oasis, it is a once in a lifetime experience, we had a blast. I always take the reviews with a grain of salt, from your post, I can see you do too. We are pretty easy going and don't let too much bother us.

Have fun!

1. The Quest
2. Love and Marriage show. (we were on it once, such fun)
I love every single thing about cruising. The feeling you get as you step over the threshold onto "My Ship" is just wonderful, along with the "ping" your sea pass card makes as you are signed in!

We did it once and had a blast. Unlimited champagne, good food, yes campy acting but it was just fun. Great way to meet people, as you are discussing who done it!

1. water shoes, the beaches can be rocky.
2. OTC meds, never again will I leave those at home even for "only" a 3 day cruise
3. A couple of zip ties
4. lots of $1.00 bills for tips ie room service and on land
5. couple of protein bars, hubby is diabetic.
My next cruise is over 200 days away, sigh! (unless....)

The instant I realized all those "crazy cruisers" were on to something. Also the fun you can have by saying, "where are you from" and it leads to a wonderful relationship with everyone on board.
Fantastic thread by the way.

Likewise, We used Victor Bodden tours. So much fun. We have also rented a taxi for the day, negotiated a price and then asked the driver to take us places he would take his own family to lunch, then buy his lunch. Nice way to learn from truly local people.
Enjoy your Cruise!

Best: Attention to detail by the Cabin Steward, Waiters and Assistant Waiters.
Worst: Production shows in the theater on the small ships. Boring song selection, horrible costumes. The singers and dancers try to do their best but ugh. We just choose not to go anymore for their next show.
Just off the Brilliance of the Seas 1/8/15 to 1/12/15.

We cruised on the Adventure 4 years ago and loved it. The ship is beautiful, the staff takes excellent care of you. I realize it's been a few years since we sailed on her, but we really had a great time. The only problem was a really long embarkation in Puerto Rico. Heck, I'm on vacation, we survived!
Enjoy your Cruise, you will have a blast!

I've never had a bad cruise. (I came home with Influenza A last September from Alaska, but gee had a great time anyway). Like so many others, I am happiest on a ship, anytime, going anywhere. We are really easy going people.

I have ornaments from each ship as well. A few years ago a staff member on the Adventure suggested we put a keychain we won at Trivia on our Christmas Tree. Now I get a keychain at every port. Love my vacation memories. I also enjoyed your comment on " ships in drydock". I feel a little lost with no cruises booked for 2015...yet!

I will not use Choice Air again. We have had multiple problems re: giving us flights that arrive too late, not enough time between flights. They say 30 minutes is plenty of time to change planes, however I disagree. We have had difficulties with seat assignments. From now on, we will choose our own flights.

I was on your cruise and agree with your observations. It was a lot of fun, went by far too fast. The staff on board are fantastic.

Our beloved KC Royals have advanced to the Playoffs this weekend. What are the odds a Sports Bar on the Enchantment of the Seas will have the games on?
If all else fails my family can text me and to heck with the cell fees!

Yes they have them at Central Park Cafe. Still yummy.

Shark Bites gummy candies. Goldfish crackers. Chapstick. Sunscreen. Bookmark. The dollar store sometimes has summer luggage tags. Lanyard for seapass if you use them. Luggage tag holder. Drink umbrellas. I'm doing the same thing for a short cruise next week with a friend. Have fun!

We loved deck 8 being by Central Park. Whichever you choose you will love the Oasis!

We were on same ship and had a great time. Then I became very ill coming home. Influenza A. The cruise line refused to contact the elderly couple we had dinner with each night. They need Tamiflu immediately. They are from Belgium. Any ideas how to contact upper management?

How much above regular tip do you give your butler? This is our first Celebrity Cruise and first Sky suite. 7 nights to Alaska. In a regular cabin we give $50.00 or so above. I figure we'll be spoiler rotten and want to do the right thing.

We were on the Oasis in January, were just off Central Park, mid ship and loved it. Quiet, fun to walk through the park each night. Very close to pick up the "infamous roast beef sandwiches" at the Park Café as well!

My late Mom taught me to leave behind old underwear. Once I brought new still in the pkg panties and they were too small! Think girdle! So the old ones are outa there and new ones await at home. P.S. we have also had a terrible time trashing an old trash can!

We just got off the Oasis on Feb. 1st. What a fantastic ship! We never felt crowded. We found lots of areas to enjoy the ocean. She is much easier to get around than you might think. We spent a lot of time in the Central Park area because our rooms were on that deck. I can't vouch for the main pool area because that's not our thing, but the Solarium pool area was nice and we did fine finding space. You may not be all right in a row, but should be able to find places to sit. Be sure to make your reservations for the shows in advance though. Have a fantastic trip, you will have a wonderful time.

We ate there in January on the Oasis. We had the chicken and steak skewers cooked on the rocks and they were great. By the way our son is HIGHLY allergic to seafood and they took perfect care of us. You will enjoy your dinner there.

My husband takes his insulin at the table. He holds it at waist level which is pretty much under the table rim. He injects through his shirt and recaps the pen. I know that injecting through his shirt sounds weird but 5 yrs of insulin and many trips later it works. I don't think people even notice.

Hello,
Even though I cruise a lot, I've never asked for a different chair in the MDR, now it's good to know I can. I have always been nervous about the seating arrangements. My bigger problem is getting on the vans/bus used for excursions. Many tour operators have a fold up stool to make it easy to hop in. I have seriously considered taking my own, but the extra weight to carry it on, I will take my chances.
There are people of many sizes, please feel free to pop on your swimsuit and take a swim, sit in the hot tub. You will never see theses people again, do have fun.
