  1. Palm beach...back two months ago. They charge way tooo much for chairs/unbrellas. Our group of 6 got a large umbrella and 6 chairs $150! We had a section out into the water and it was soooo crowded. We chose over eagle beach (not crowded) because they are nicer to cruise passengers. Ha!! Will go back to eagle next time. Yes we took public bus..super easy

  2. Has anyone gone to Negril from Mo.Bay port? Would like an all inclusive. I hear the beaches are best here. Prices? Transportation cost? Thanks for advise .

  3. We have a group aged 23 to 60. 10 of us. Reading all the information. When here yrs ago we went to a resort and drinks were watered down...very diappointed. Is hilton rose hall ok for the mid 20s? They dont have to have the "party scene".

     

    Also there is a resort almost within walking distance (10 min) from the cruise port..cant remember which one. But i dont want to go back there. (Waterslides good, weak drinks, shells/rocky beach)

  4. We tried to go to sapphire yrs ago. We showed up and the place that had rentals etc had closed the week before and no one knew if the owner was coming back. Closest toilets were the marina. So sad!! We found a ride to another beach and more $$$ on taxi fare.

    We go again Jan 2018. What are the conditions? Someone update this thread please. Is there food, rentals, toilets?

  5. We go in January 2018! Looking for updates also. Our ship gets in at 1 PM...so they emailed saying they could not do the 6 hour as the beaches close at 6 pm. I am trying to see about a customized tour...but not sure if I can get 10 persons. I want beach time at good beaches with snorkeling and maybe a few other sights..but time is against us. They are very prompt in responding.

  6. I do my research and let my TA book for me. She answers all my questions and calls them directly when needed. I'd pay the same rate or lower because she knows all the sales. It is her part time job. About 10 families I know use her now. I don't have time to sit on phone with cruise lines to get best rates and compare.

  7. We have dinner "uniforms" . Me 2 sundresses, a black skirt and two diff. Tops. Husband khaki pants, brown pants, 2 shirts. After dinner change and re wear a diff. Night. No one will notice...honest. Easy to pack. Kids. Mine had khaki pants three shirts sandals (shout wipes)

  8. We have 4 cabins booked, but it may get down to the wire of where everyone sleeps. We all are next to each other with Fantastica class. If two of my kids switch locations how do we make that work with room key cards (linked to photo and credit card)? Do we fix it as we go through embarkation process or at the front desk once on ship? Just planning ahead, so we can avert a melt down.

  9. I (in the US) always use my TA. She is the best. Will call when there is a price reduction, OBC, gratuity increase. I don't watch for those things. She can call and get my list of things answered and I don't waste my time.

     

    MY QUESTION...I want my British friends to join me can they book through my lady? Has anyone done this? pros/cons? allowable?

  10. It's a Black Card benefit (free dinner at a specialty restaurant, but you typically have to choose from a limited menu). You won't get it just for booking Fantastica.

    I'm not sure if you can upgrade your 12 Fantastica drink vouchers to an unlimited package. I think we'll have to wait another couple of weeks to hear exactly how this perk works.
