I understand that part, but I have never seen them bring a newer ship in to replace the Monarch and then replace that ship with an older ship. Just seems like they always keep upgrading, but in this case we are going backwards.
-
going to miss the Enchantment, liked that ship. Majesty will do a good job here. Do you think they will send another ship to PC or is PC not performing as they expected?
-
I am sorry if this is a repeat, I have not been on for a couple of months. Can someone tell me what is going on with ships sailing from PC? Last I heard was that Enchantment was going to Miami, Majesty sent away and Rhapsody being moved to PC with some " vacant" time at PC waiting for Rhapsody.
What is actually happening at this point?
Is Majesty coming here on a full time schedule, or just filling in until another ship is sent to PC?
I would appreciate any info

Ultimate package for both of us. We like the option to have pretty much whatever you want, whenever you want. last cruise my wife got the Select and she liked a wine that cost 2.00 more every time she ordered a drink, then she wanted a Grey goose later in the evening. Just easier for us to just do the Ultimate and be done with it.

I have never been on the Oasis, but on all other RCCL ships they have stations set up as you enter the ship and I believe they also sell the packages at all the bars.
-
I thought everything was now loaded on your seapass card, I haven't seen a " booklet " in the past year or so
-
Plain and simple, yes you can do it, but it is stealing!!
-
I believe everyone has a right to spend their money the way they feel it best serves them, with that said if an individual feels tipping up front is better for them , so be it. other choose not to tip at all. Their personal preference. Calling it a bribe to tip up front borders on someone just being an idiot. it is no ones business how another spends their money. Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.

Good question, you seem to care quite a bit. An apparently strong aversion to something that doesn't elicit much concern among anyone but fans. Did you wager heavily on Manny?
Well said!!!!
-
I believe that you can buy it anytime during the cruise as long as there are 4 days left on the cruise, obviously this would not apply to 3 and 4 day cruises.
-
We never tip in advance...(or bribe!)...we tip as is traditionally done...on the last evening.
Only once did we not have stellar service, and I'm 100% positive that pre-tipping wouldn't have made one iota of difference.
So you consider "pre tipping" a Bribe? Really????

I do not believe there is any tap beer on RCCL ships

I had to cancel once due to my mother in law passed away. It was one week before the cruise, we had no insurance. RCCL allowed me to re book at no charge, all I had to do was send them a copy of the death certificate. I felt very fortunate and appreciative.

I just find it hard to believe that the 3 and 4 nighters out PC are not profitable. I usually do at least one maybe two during this time frame, guess we will just do land based vacations or Carnival. Sad
-
That's just poor business, I can't believe that RCCL will leave Port Canaveral all to Carnival for the whole summer. Bad idea
-
It is 30 days from the date you redeem it ..meaning that you must book your cruise within that time frame and there are only certain cruises..we tried to use ours but we couldn't because our cruise is a 7 day and they told us it was good on most 5 or less cruises.
I looked at the different offers and some are for 4 days or less and others are for seven day cruises.
-
I could be wrong, but I believe it is only good for 30 days from the time you redeem it. Not from the time you sail. I could be wrong but it is worth looking into.

Really? Is there anything special I have to do with MyVegas to get the RCCL points?
Just play, check out the rewards section to see what RCCL offers, there are also offers for a bunch of vegas hotels
-
Actually, there is a way to get something free from RCCL. They promote a game on Facebook called My Vegas, You play for free and get points which you can redeem with RCCL for OBC. Totally free to do
-
You can cancel and then if you want it when you board, you can buy it then.
-
I can't say I have ever been on a bad cruise. There may have been times I didn't feel I was getting what I wanted, and then again maybe I was wanting too much!!!

You need to read the fine print when you purchased your packages. You can't use your package in WJ or the MDR.
That is absolutely not true, I have used my packages in both the MDR and the WJ on numerous cruises and have never been refused.

I am really on the fence about this. Do I think stealing is right? Absolutely NOT! But I also think RCI is stealing from it's passengers. Think about how much they are making on one bottle of booze.
I normally don't drink a whole lot. I was really conflicted on whether I should buy the drink package. My next cruise is in October with my whole family. I figured I might drink more then normal so I went ahead and bought the package. For someone like me, RCI will probably make a lot of money. I was afraid my bar bill would be pretty high if I didn't buy the package. Since I can't see into the future and I don't know if I'm going to feel like drinking on any given day is why I was conflicted. $10 to $12 a drink is ridiculous. It's total robbery.
Again, I don't condone sharing a package. But I also don't think RCI is being fair to their passengers. It’s all about money.
Really??? What do you think restaurants up charge??? RCCL is not stealing anything, you can choose not to purchase. They also allow you to bring 2 bottles of wine on with no charge or corkage fee.

For the past 10 years I have repeatedly looked at other types of land based vacations and could never find anything in price that could remotely compare to taking a cruise. Recently I have found myself looking at those land based vacations again and beginning to see some value in them. Not saying I will never cruise again, I know we will, we like it too much.
I am saying that they will no longer be getting all my expendable cash for vacations simply because i am able to find things that in the past seemed overpriced, now they seem comparable to cruising.

My wife and a girlfriend are cruising on the Victory out of Port Canaveral next April 14, 2016. Never having been on that ship before can anyone tell me a few things that know the ship?
1. Do you know when it is being moved to Port Canaveral?
2. When was its last Dry dock and what was done to it?
3. Lastly they have a 4J cabin #9302 has anyone been in one of these cabins? It looks larger than all the others.
Thanks for any info you can give me
