I'm on the POA on May 14th and received the same letter. I was told through my contacts that POA will be sailing at 50% capacity. I'll be posting live on the cruise so will be able to update then 🙂

The Christening Cruise (Iceland Inaugural) is Aug 26 - Sept 3. Invites went out already. This is the event where Katy Perry will perform at the ship's Christening. Additionally, there are two other confirmed Inaugural Sailings: (1) 4-Night - New York, Oct 6-10 visiting Halifax, and (2) 4-Night Galveston, Oct 27-31 visiting Cozumel -- invites went out for both. I'm sure there will be one in Miami too, but details are yet to be released.
I'll be on the October 27th sailing out of Galveston, TX. Pondering staying on for the cruise to Miami afterwards.

I just came across this and found this interesting as my aunt just boarded the Encore yesterday and found the exact same thing about points 1 and 2. This was her first cruise since the pandemic and she wasn't impressed with how the check in was handled.

I've been booked for quite some time, however I've heard and read very mixed reviews about how and when sailors are receiving their bands and luggage tags (if they even receive them in time for their sailing). Just curious on others experiences with receiving/not receiving them before hand. My newest challenge has been that I can't seem to upload vaccination proof in the app? The step is just missing and it's saying I still need to complete something in my check in, but there isn't anything further for me to complete lol

Thanks so much for sharing!

I was wondering if something has changed and now you need to pick up your Sea Bands at the port or if they are indeed still shipping them out with a luggage tag? When I confirmed my check in the other day, I was confused to see that it said my Sea Band would be at the port?
TIA

When we sailed, you could pick up a paper copy at Sailor Services each day. I made a suggestion that they post the daily schedule on the stateroom TVs.
Oh that's great to know! Thanks so much! 🙂

someone posted this in one of the VV facebook groups - if you navigate to the date or update the URL, you can see what's going on each day: https://spark-aws.virginvoyages.com/api/v1/ext/ddp/5a3193a0af8e4c3fb714386b/2021-11-25#events
Thank you so much! 🙂

I was wondering if anyone had a full daily activities listing they could share?
From what I understand there are no paper schedules and the schedule can only be accessed through the app/posted on a tv screen?
Thanks!

I'm also very confused by this as my "Arrival Time" for my cruise in a couple weeks is 11:45am? However, as most mentioned they don't start boarding the ship until 2:00pm?

So exciting! I just booked August 17th, 2023 🙂
Can't wait to see more details of the ship tomorrow.

That is good news. I want to earn stars. I am thinking it is similar to Target where you can earn stars but the promos are not counted.
Correct, you can earn stars however you can't use any rewards onboard. I know Starbucks recently changed their rewards program so you can always ask, but I believe you can only pay with the card/app and collect stars.

Canada Line (SkyTrain) is awesome to the Vancouver Airport. As others have already mentioned we don't have Lyft or Uber yet, it's now been approved, however it won't be an option until Mid-September 2019.

You can use your Starbucks card and app at the actual Starbucks "stores" onboard (Bliss, Joy, Encore, etc), not the atrium cafes that "serve Starbucks".

My Instagram is @WanderlustJourney.ca
Usually we are able to also see the Haven suites, but I'll be posting cabin walkthroughs 🙂

I'll be on the April 26th sailing as well!
Can't wait! 🙂

As long as you have travel insurance, 11:30am should be ok.
There have been instances in the past where the fog was too thick in the morning for ships to safely manoeuvre through the canal and disembarkation was delayed by a few hours.
I did the Oct 7th to 14th sailing last year and we were docked by 7:00am.
Have a great cruise, I had a great time!

Crazy, never heard of them tendering in Vancouver.
That being said, articles in our local news outlets today are saying we should have the busiest cruise season on record...

I was mostly interested to see about the fitness/yoga schedules, but they are in an additional insert from what I understand. Saw one posted on the live Oceania ATW thread 🙂
