The Christening Cruise (Iceland Inaugural) is Aug 26 - Sept 3. Invites went out already. This is the event where Katy Perry will perform at the ship's Christening. Additionally, there are two other confirmed Inaugural Sailings: (1) 4-Night - New York, Oct 6-10 visiting Halifax, and (2) 4-Night Galveston, Oct 27-31 visiting Cozumel -- invites went out for both. I'm sure there will be one in Miami too, but details are yet to be released.

I'll be on the October 27th sailing out of Galveston, TX. Pondering staying on for the cruise to Miami afterwards.

  2. I've been booked for quite some time, however I've heard and read very mixed reviews about how and when sailors are receiving their bands and luggage tags (if they even receive them in time for their sailing). Just curious on others experiences with receiving/not receiving them before hand. My newest challenge has been that I can't seem to upload vaccination proof in the app? The step is just missing and it's saying I still need to complete something in my check in, but there isn't anything further for me to complete lol

  3. I was wondering if something has changed and now you need to pick up your Sea Bands at the port or if they are indeed still shipping them out with a luggage tag? When I confirmed my check in the other day, I was confused to see that it said my Sea Band would be at the port?

    TIA

That is good news. I want to earn stars. I am thinking it is similar to Target where you can earn stars but the promos are not counted.

Correct, you can earn stars however you can't use any rewards onboard. I know Starbucks recently changed their rewards program so you can always ask, but I believe you can only pay with the card/app and collect stars.

  5. As long as you have travel insurance, 11:30am should be ok.

There have been instances in the past where the fog was too thick in the morning for ships to safely manoeuvre through the canal and disembarkation was delayed by a few hours.

I did the Oct 7th to 14th sailing last year and we were docked by 7:00am.

Have a great cruise, I had a great time!
