Princess also recognises the Ocean Village cruises when UK passengers sailed on them.
-
There is usually a form in your cabin or now you can do it with the Princess at Sea App. That is what we did last time.
-
FCD is £75 for UK cruisers. Same benefits.

Looking forward to the Elite goodies. Our cruise in 48 days is our Elite qualifier.....:):):)
Bob
Our next one is our second as Elite, Bob. Nice little bag of toiletries.

Really enjoying your review. Great to reread about places we visited.
If anyone is visiting Copenhagen I recommend the free walking tour from outside the City Hall. You top the guide what it is worth. It was an excellent way of seeing the city.
While on the luggage theme it is a great suggestion to pack some of each persons things in the other case it was no good to us when our luggage was lost for 5 days. All we had was a change of underwear and T shirt. On that cruise over 30 families had no luggage, some for the entire time. Ours travelled to places that we didn't, Rome and Athens, and finally caught up with us in Santorini.
I look forward to the final stage of your trip.

Sorry to hear the beds don't suit you, Shogun. We were on in April and I found them great. Best sleep I had on a cruise ship.
-
I am not sure about sailing with Carnival cruises but we have sailed once with P and O and once with Ocean Village and the number of days we sailed were added to our Princess days. This helped us reach Elite that little bit faster. I think Princess is the only Carnival brand that does this.

In April/May we had Marahscalh Stanton. He was hopeless, no personality and did very little apart from appearing at the end of a show in the theatre. Frenchmen, the assistant, worked hard and was personable.

Take a pashmina in the evening. Easy to use or fold away.

OK, I've made sense of a map, that I was looking at in the wrong area. :) It looks like I will turn right, with my back toward the water, from the cruise ship dock?? And the hotel, garden is right near the end of the cable car??? This is going to be my "day trip" in this port, so I should have plenty of time?
Yes, turn right. About 20 minutes walk to cable car.

If you don't want yo go to Seville Cadiz is lovely. There is a Hoho bus or you can follow the coloured lines pained on the ground and do a self guided walking tour.
-
Gibraltar you can takes local bus up the hill to near WW11 tunnels. We walked to cable car. You can see TrafalgR Cemetry on the way and it us near Botanical gardens.
-
IT is a very steep walk down from the end of the toboggan And not for anyone who is not fit. We did not realise just how far it was and although quite fit we were glad to collapse into a seat at a cafe for a coffee and custard tart. We had walked to the cable car and taken a one way ticket.

I belong to a book club at home. We get a book each month chosen by the chap at library headquarters. We meet in a garden centre to discuss the book and have a coffe and cake. The first time on Princess we met over afternoon tea but apart from the staff member, who knew nothing about the book, there were only 2 others there. If Princess wish to have a book club they need to get organised more.
-
Even when books were issued very few people took part. It was not well organised.

Great to hear this. Going on her at the end of April.
-
Nothing here.

We went on August 1st. Brilliant weather. Sailed Southampton to Southampton.
Free walking tour of Copenhagen is well worth doing.
-
Forgot to say the local tourist folk also run free tours around ?Greenock.
-
For Glasgow you dock in Greenock. You can walk in to the town. It is not far. You can catch a train to Glasgow. They run a Hopon bus in Greenock when a ship is in port.
-
Never had a problem with an inside. We leave the bathroom light on. There is enough space below the door to give a glimmer in the room. Also had obstructed and normal ocean view. Just about to have our first balcony.
-
Would certainly recommend a tour. We did not take one and the port was the poorest place we have ever been. So sad to see the people with nothing.
-
The reversible tote bags were great. I still use one I got over 8 years ago. We also got really nice, solid pens on that cruise. Still got them too.
Most of the other prizes are just fun things. It makes you wonder why some people are so desperate to win. Do it for fun. Don't get stressed.

Your ship is docked at Langeliniekaj so you can walk to the Nyhavn area in 20 minutes time or take bus 26 that goes past Rosenborg Palace, Amalienborg Palace, Nyhavn, Kongens Nytorv, Holmens Kirke Church, Christiansborg Palace, Nationalmuseet, Glyptoteket, Tivoli etc etc etc.
If you walk you pass The Little Mermain on your way.
Must see´s must be a Canal tour, Tivoli, the national museum and Strøget pedestrian street.
Thank you so much for your help and advice. You're a star! 🌟
Covered pools
in Princess Cruises
Posted
I think Princess is missing out by not have at least one covered pool on all their ships. know the Grand has one but most don't. Now the weather all over is unreliable a covered pool would be most welcome when it is cool or wet.
