Fond memories of Tortola, sat outside Pussers with a painkiller or two not realising how strong they were 🥳 Our second visit hubby made me go to the botanical gardens instead (he doesn’t like rum)
Shame you’re tendering, there must be another ship in.

It seems P&O are a bit cheeky 🤔 our upcoming cruise in March has been reduced in price but the extra for select has doubled so it’s still the same just looks better 🤣
We booked this in late December and had to pay full but the price is still the same despite P&O’s tweaks.

We got a certificate for crossing the Arctic Circle last year on Arcadia 😀

Beautiful country and people, one of my favourite places.
Take layers and waterproof jacket and footwear. Even though you don’t like ship excursions, from Andalsnes the Troll Wall and Trollstigen are breathtaking (not for nervous travellers)

Yes it’s a bit better, but the cheese board to have is the one in the Glasshouse 😋 .Yummy with a glass of Jam Shed Shiraz 😋
Thank you for an interesting and informative blog, really enjoying it.
Hope you feel better soon x

I don’t think they will fully stop this on ships, just reduce the areas. Agree with the area of the lift, ridiculous place to put it. The smoking area could/should be moved around the corner.
The smoking area at the aft of Iona is stupid too, ash trays fixed against the outer rail with chairs in front. Passengers just take up residence for the day and when the ash trays are full some just put their fag ends in the nearest almost empty glass 🤢I am an occasional smoker (5 per day max) but hate the smoking areas. I always take a pocket ash tray on holiday in case the area is busy. My husband is a full time smoker and if they stopped it I would have to spend more time with him 😫
Did notice on Iona in June a lot of vapers not using the smoking areas and nothing was said to them.

Morning all, not been too bad here. The worst we’ve had is a bag blowing around setting the doorbell camera off, been a night of phones pinging 😴
Stay safe x

Thanks Eddie, really enjoying this as we’re doing the exact same in 8 weeks. Giving us new ideas on things to do and see as we’ve done the Canaries a few times.
Getting giddy now 🤣

I always gain weight in winter, it’s the mince pies and Christmas cake with a big lump of Wensleydale 😋 Takes two weeks to put in on and 3 months to get it off 🤣

Going back a few years now but didn’t P&O used to compensate if they reduced the price of your cruise ??

When you get back would you mind sharing the cabin number ? I would love a window seat like that. I know not all of them are configured like that so would be grateful for any information.
Was thinking the same thing although hubby would end up covering the sofa with clothes.
Have a great cruise Eddie 🥂

They are overlooked but very big. The cabins are also a lot bigger too.

We’re going to Canaries on Iona 16th March. Madiera is easy to do on your own, take the cable car up to the Botanical gardens or just wander around the town. There is usually a shuttle bus to take you into the town.
Lanzarote we have booked for the Sunday market as Arrecife isn’t our cup of tea.
We tend to have a good look on Google maps to see what is in the area and then decide on excursions.- 1

Thanks Selbourne, love your blogs. One of my favourite menu’s, French onion soup and beef wellington yummy.

We boarded on Friday...was late on (flight delay, baggage delayed, last bus from airport etc) so just got on board. Went into Tenerife today and picked a few things up - security was done by the port and they didn't blink an eye. Once on ship there were no questions asked at all.
Problem is, I've now had to request a bigger fridge for the 44 cans of beer and 7 bottles of wine we've brought on!
The bigger fridge made me giggle. Enjoy x

Advice on Souda Bay
in Greece Ports
Posted
There is a bus at the port which takes you into Chania, last time we were there it cost a couple of euro. Nice place with shops and horse shoe bay.
Souda has to be one of the worst places to stop at, often wondered if they pay the ships.
