I cough a lot but that’s due to having COPD not Covid. I do get annoyed at having to explain this when people treat me like a leper. Not all coughs are covid and due to my risk of chest infections I wear a mask and do home testing before cruising. I would never lie about a test and don’t agree with people that do.
On a lighter note I wish they would invent a mask that filters out perfume/aftershave on black tie nights 😷

Personally I’m 50/50 with the app. Yes it has some good features for booking things and showing queue numbers. The downside is having to carry my phone in the evenings and constantly having to check and refresh. Really don’t like this when wanting a pre dinner drink, also find it quite rude if in conversation with other passengers.
Just prefer to leave the phone in the cabin when on holiday, plus for some strange reason my hubby can’t get it to work on his phone 🤔

On Ventura now, have not been able to book any speciality dining. Tried booking on embarkation day at around 6pm and nothing available. No food in Glasshouse. MDR would advise joining virtual queue as early as possible. Service can be slow.
in general the staff are friendly and the food is good but obvious signs of staff shortages

On Ventura, it’s pretty bad trying to get a meal in MDR. Speciality dining has been fully booked since embarkation and I have honestly never had anything this bad regards waiting times and service in all the years cruising with P&O ☹️
We’re 11 nights away from Caribbean tier, not sure we’ll get there if they don’t sort things out and concentrate on all ships not just the new ones.- 1

Hi, I would also avoid a balcony on deck 9 due to privacy as they are quite visible from the prom deck. Also check the location of any hot tubs as they can be noisy at times.
We we’re mid aft on deck 10 which was a good location for our needs.

We too prefer 6.30pm for dinner so we always book fixed dining on Ventura and pre-book entertainment, so wonder why you didn't?
We prefer Freedom dining. Have tried Club and it wasn’t for us, we usually only eat 2 courses and feel it would be rude to leave the table while others are only halfway through their courses.

I watched the review (thanks for the link) and this is worrying as we are going on Ventura on Saturday.
We tend to breakfast around 8am and have dinner around 6.30pm so fingers crossed these times aren’t too busy as we have pre booked entertainment. Speciality dining isn’t available for pre book 🙄Agree with Jamie’s point about filling up ships when they don’t have enough staff. Will see how it goes and enjoy our cruise 🥂

Good evening,
does anyone have any idea the likelihood of a cruise being cancelled due to lack of “bums on seats” ?
Noticed something in the T&C’s but not stating what the minimum numbers were.
Thanks

Recently got back from a great holiday in this cabin. Nice cabin and good location, especially for port days when forward lifts are used. Spacious enough for us with decent storage, the balcony has a table and 2 chairs which is ok but not enough room for loungers.
No problems with noise.
Enjoy

Recently back from two weeks on Adriatic affair/sail 3 seas and no testing on day 7.
Allowed to go to and sit at the bar and only mask wearing is by the staff.- 1

Anyone on this flight be aware they have changed the plane type.
When checking our booking we noticed our pre-booked seats were no longer there, luckily after a long phone call we managed to rebook seats.
No notification from Tui, and pretty bad to say we paid for extra leg room (hubby very tall) -
Ventura for me. Iona has too much of the inside on the outside for me.
think I just prefer a traditional prom deck (bring back Oriana/Oceana)

Agree with other poster. Get them done before you go. I found P&O overpriced and a lot of hard sell which spoiled the experience (trying to sell me eye cream during a manicure ) 😄

On apple phone/pad I always had to remove the pop up blocker to print.

Great news, hope it stays that way 🎉

Great news, hope Slovenia drops it too before the end of June 🤞🏻

Almost forgot, the public toilet outer doors have hand controls. Just look for the square and wave your hand in front of it. Some of the deck toilets have the same system for locking once inside the cubicle.

Hi, we would highly recommend the Keel and Cow. It’s an extra charge but excellent food and service. For lunch we often used the Quays as the fish and chips were delicious and also a decent range of salads.
On sea days the Skydome was very busy and we did see towels on seats quite early in the morning 🙄 nice area to sit if you use the buffet for breakfast.
Iona is a beautiful ship and we really enjoyed her despite the size. Would recommend looking at the deck plans before going so you have a good idea of where you’re going once onboard.
Enjoy your cruise- 3

I hope they have someone on guard for the bread roll feelers, always been a pet hate of mine.

Hi, going on Iona tomorrow 🥳 and I’m taking tights due to pasty white winter legs. I can guarantee however that after a couple of drinks and that sinking crotch feeling they will be removed and in my bag 😳

Good morning, does anyone know if P&O still do the beer packages. It’s been a while but they were available to purchase at the bar. I think they were around £80. for 20 drinks which were marked off on a card.
thanks

Hi, must say we always upgrade as seeing bar staff on more than one occasion refilling empty coke bottles from the pump really put me off. Also explained why on our first Marella cruise my drinks (vodka & Coke) we’re always flat and watery.

Was expecting this, quite disappointed that we can’t apply for a refund until 6th July . I understand they’re busy, but not too busy to take the full payment a few weeks ago ☹️

Cancel and rebook cabin
in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Posted
We did this with a cruise booked for later this year. Phoned P&O direct and she did it for us, even got us the same cabin which we had just cancelled. Lost £100 deposit (booked onboard) but gained £450. extra obc (will cover the husky sled trip)
Phone them, they are very helpful
