Thanks. Looking forward to cruising!

Not sure what to say. Yes, I am on the Epic. I received 4 bidding offers: Spa mini suite with balcony, mini suite with balcony, spa balcony, and balcony. I have been on Epic a number of times, never had bid offer. Have stayed in studio, inside, and balcony. I know nothing else about any other category. CC members know far more than I about the bidding, and I appreciate all the input. I don't know what else to tell you except what I was offered. On to other things.....
-
Thank you for your input. Again, sorry for my snarky comment.

No need to screen shot. I just explained and wrote what I was offered to bid on. Like I previously said, I am new to bidding, and really don't know the difference between mini, spa, etc. If I made a mistake, sorry. Again, I was offered: spa mini suite with balcony, mini suite with balcony, spa suite with balcony and balcony. What the difference is, I don't know, but I am happy to have been given the opportunity to bid. Sorry if my prior posting was harsh, just not used to being subjected to an interrogation. My original reservation is for an inside cabin, no ocean view. That's all I have to give for info.

Since some of you are people who "doubt," and I am new to all of this, I will tell you that I was offered bids on the following: Spa mini suite with balcony, mini suite with balcony, spa balcony, and balcony. Sorry if I misled, just got confused. But, really, no one calls me a liar!

Thanks to all for your responses. FYI, I received an invitation to bid less than 24 hrs after I booked! Offered to bid on balcony, mini suite, and spa suite. Keeping fingers crossed!

I would like to know if someone made a reservation 37 days out from a cruise, paid in full, would they be eligible for bidding for an upgrade? I made a reservation today for an inside, and would like an opportunity to bid for balcony or above if available. I know it depends on availabilty, but was curious if this has happened to anyone else. TIA

I had booked an inside back in March (single person, no supplement). That was around the time of the 20 percent off sale, plus OBC, plus double Latitude Points. Got that for around $1800, with insurance and drink package. I bid on the balcony last week. Bid $100 which means I had to pay 200 for one person. So, I got the balcony for 2000, which I was happy with. Hope you understood that, lol!

My fingers and toes are crossed for you as well!

Good for you! 1/22 is 10 cruise, are you staying on for another? In any event, have fun!
-
Thank you. I am sure it will happen for you as well. Are you on the Breakaway? Keep us posted!

Just received my upgrade from inside to balcony B3. Will be on Breakaway 1/22/20. Paid $200 total which I thought was fantastic!

Is that something new? I have had OBC before and never had that code. Thanks.

I am trying to find out what this code is for: GRLOBC. I know what the others stand for but have never seen this particular code. TIA.

I was on the Sun for 5 days Sept 9. Cabin was 129, did not include drink package which would have cost me 945 if I decided to buy it. No Single supplement, inside cabin. NCL refunded me 33 for port fees because the itinerary was changed. It was a great deal.

Yes, they stack them every evening so they can wash down the decks, etc. Plenty of places to chill without having to use a lounge chair!

Totally agree with you. I was just telling my experience. I am sure rules are different for different ships and ports.
-
I have done it 3 times and have done a back to back to back same cabin, never got off the ship, only one muster. Things could have changed but this occurred for me in March, 2019.
-
I have done the back to back several times. If you are staying in the SAME cabin for both legs of trip, you do not have to attend the muster drill.

I was on the TA on the Epic last year, and in fact, will be on the same TA next year with you. I did not dress properly for this cruise and ended up buying an all weather coat on board. There were quite a number of cooler days along with rain. It didn't deter me from having fun. Just took it inside. But, the 2020 cruise, I will be more prepared with a few extra long sleeve tops, a hoodie, etc. I had been told that traveling at that time of year could vary. Talked to those who had warm weather, and those who experienced the cold. I would just suggest bringing a couple of pieces of warmer type shirts, jeans.
I had a blast, hope you do as well!

I was notifed 45 days out, although I had to call to find out the information.
-
- Been on the Epic 10 times, to include a Med and transatlantic cruise. The buffet menu has never changed for any itinerary. Gets boring, but I always manage to find something to keep me happy.

I have done 2 b2b and have never had to leave the ship. They will issue you a sticker to wear that states that you are allowed to remain on the ship. If you are in the same stateroom for both cruises, you do not have to attend the second muster drill. As for eating, Taste and O'Sheehan's will be open. You may leave the ship if you desire.

Still waiting for mine. Called NCL this morning and they gave me the amount they were returning to my card and said it had been sent 3/4. So far, nothing showing up on my card. I, too, am receiving more than I figured on, so it must be port fees and a couple of days of prepaid gratuities. Will keep you posted.
UPDATE: Checked my credit card statement this morning 3/8, and the NCL charges had been removed. Extremely happy now!
