  1. Fortunately I am 'small' 😇
  2. Joke? The business of shoes is a very serious business I'll have you know - and it is certainly no joke!! ........ er well not when you have as many pairs as me 🤣
  3. Yippee - thank you! That means less to carry and more shoes to get into the case 🤣
  4. Our first Saga cruise is rapidly approaching so this is a quick question please. I usually cruise P&O in a suite so am used to getting a nice bathrobe and slippers - do Saga provide these I wonder for a standard balcony cabin? If not, no problem, we'll take our own.
  5. Slightly off topic again …. I am picking up D from several of the contributors on this site that if one gets to the ship at say 3 or 4 o’clock there will be no lunch available in the main dining room. If this is the case, I presume that there will still be lunch available in the buffet or somewhere else. Can someone please advise on this?
  6. So sorry for your loss. I cruise with my husband and often comment that ladies travelling alone always seem to have a good time - do hope you have the confidence to try it and that it works out for you. I have just booked my first four cruises with Saga having been welded to P&O for the past 40 years - they seem to offer a superb experience so I think you have chosen the right company.
  7. Thank you so much for the information. I guess having got used to the huge ships and their stability, my interest was really about the stability of these smaller shops…… and you have answered that perfectly. Thank you.
  8. More questions from a Saga newbie so do bear with me please. From everything I’ve read on here and on various other sites it seems that, as most people pre-register, it will be those people that get the cabins in better locations. I think we are therefore resigning ourselves to being quite low down in the ship….. so my question is this please; it looks as if there are a lot of cabins on E deck which are above the club and playhouse, given this to be the case, does a lot of noise escape from these two venues into the cabins above. Also, what is the stability of the ship like it what is situated in aft cabin is. It is a position I prefer actually, however I’ve now become used to the new larger monster-style ships which tend to be very very stable indeed.
  9. Thank you for your response however it seems to be slightly different to what Windsurfboy has just said and that is the same wines one has at meals are included ie "free" and will be available at bars. Have I missed something here?
  10. A lot has been written on this forum about the choice of wines in the ‘all inclusive’ cruise price, however this question is about wines in the bar. Husband and I are not spirit/beer/cocktail drinkers, preferring to drink white wine in the bars. I am presuming that wines in the bars are not included in the all ‘inclusive price’? It might sound a very obvious question but nothing I have read actually states this. Given this to be the case, is there a separate wine list for the bars? We are about to book our first Saga cruise after having much help from the good people on this forum - thank you for your help so far and look forward to your responses.
  11. Thank you for sharing your observations with me - it is much appreciated and certainly makes me feel we are making the right decision if we choose Saga.
  12. What does super response - thank you!
  13. What an excellent response. Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to send me your thoughts.. love the ending about the animals🤣
  14. Thank you for that little tip, as it happens one of our neighbours is on a Saga cruise now so I need to get into his good books🤗
  15. Thank you for taking the time to post such a positive response. I’ve seen elsewhere that sometimes the drinks are included in the price of the Cruise. This isn’t necessity for as we do like a decent glass of Chardonnay. We are not wine snobs by any means and we don’t drink spirits. So our wine is rather important to us. Have you any idea what types of wine they have on board and I guess what the house wine is like?
  16. Thank you so much for taking the time to post such a thoughtful response. I must say Saga is indeed looking very tempting!!
  17. One more question, if I may. You mentioned that it is possible to pre-register a couple of years ahead. I presume this means one can register, even though there is no brochure? Also if we want to do half a dozen cruises does that mean we have to pre-register half a dozen times ….. if you see what I mean?
  18. Another super response ….. I am getting kern lol!! Thank you again!
