Although they have it stated in the FAQ that there is a one-time $15 fee for the Ocean Now and a $5 fee in stateroom by phone, I would not be surprised to get on ship, order from the app to be delivered to my room and find there is an additional $5 fee. Other places they mention the $5 room service fee leaving it a bit ambiguous until implemented.

Would love to hear on this topic too! So far I am considering visiting Naminoue Shrine/Beach and Fukushuen Park, both walkable within 15 minutes of the cruise port. Another 15 minutes away from Fukushuen Park is Shikinaen Park and Kokusai Dori Market/Street.

Thank you so much for the help! I greatly appreciate it!

Hi - We have been looking at standard rock tours but most don't include the Great Siege Tunnels on our day in port (or cost a lot for 4 people). Wondering if you get a taxi group at the port if they include the Great Siege Tunnels if you ask. Also - do the taxis still line up at the port to take people on the tours?
Thanks in Advance!!!

We used Blands Travel in August and did the full tour with the WWII tunnels, monkeys etc. The tour itself was great, however locating the meeting point was hard to locate and taxis were nonexistent, we ended walking the whole way. Again, discreet car garage location but in the end all was good.
You mean the taxis for the tours no longer line up by the cruise ships?

Hi - Rick Steves outlines a walking tour. I would find out which of his books it is in and purchase and a used copy. You can always try the forum first.

This is bizarre. Someone replied that the pressure was adjustable and I wanted to thank them but their post is gone now.

We were on deck 12 act twice on Caribbean sailings. Some nights sitting outside could definitely hear the music. It was between 930 and 1230pm. I hope the others are correct and they turned the bass down finally.

I will be broken hearted if they don't have the crab on the Escape, it has been so good. Also I was on Breakaway earlier this year and their Ocean Blue was not as good as on the Escape.

I haven't read all of the other posts but I will say we cruise a lot and choose to do Japan via a land tour on our own. We actually flew from Tokyo to Osaka to get to Kyoto and had no regrets as we got to see Osaka as well for a day and that was a real treat. We loved pretty much everything about Japan. From the food we got to wandering around the temples to the wonderful onsens and bath houses at night. There is so much we would have missed if we did it by a cruise.

Anyone know of snorkel masks that can be worn over glasses? Can't wear contacts.
Hi - We had to get my husband a custom mask with a prescription. It was well worth it as he has used it many times now.

Thank you all so much for the information. I am a light sleeper so this great to know. I assume the time the Spice H20 parties are around 9:30pm - 1:00am.

Hello! I was kindly upgraded to an aft balcony. It is on Deck 14. When I was last on the Escape, Deck 12 (fantastic size balcony by the way) we could clearly hear Spice H20 at night from our balcony. How is the noise from H2O at night for the 14th level aft balconies? Does it carry into the rooms?
Thanks so VERY much!!

My biggest con at Maya Chan was the ugly color of the water. Their floats and drinks are awesome though. FYI - I buy some cheap float beed and bring it with - saves money and isn't that large to carry on.

Thanks for the clarifications.
No problem! I know someone who would bring in drinks with them and sit on the aft spa balcony. :D:D:D

I'm sailing on the Epic in February and have a spa pass and the UBP. Am I understanding you correctly that there is alcohol service in the spa? Can you supply details or have I just misunderstood?
I was referring to posh in the third sentence compared to other places around the ship. The loungers are really nice in the spa too.

It sounds like you had a great time with a couple of hiccups along the way. The statement about inconsitent service seems to be a reacuring theme since the Epic docked at PC. I hope they get it squared away before my March cruise. If not we will still have a great time. Good food and drinks in the middle of the ocean....we will have a good time.
The food is outstanding on the ship and the drinks I had were delicious. Expect things may go wrong and you will be packing late or at customer service the last day and enjoy the rest of the trip.

Do you know how difficult it was for non-haven people to get posh tickets? If you went to posh, how was it? We're sailing next week and are trying to get to the port early.
I have done posh before. You need to be in the early group to get posh and go directly to customer service. I prefer the aft balcony of the spa, less windy, but others love posh. The loungers are much more comfortable and you don't have to worry about rushing to get a spot, plus alcohol service is excellent.

Yokohama to Haneda for late flight
in Asia
Posted
There are a lot of nice things to do around Yokohama for a few hours with luggage storage. I would also like to add Manyo Club which is a large onsen/sento where you can store your luggage and enjoy hot baths, jacuzzis, heated stone lounges, relaxing loungers that lie flat, etc. We are choosing that option for the morning because I often don't get enough sleep on the ship the night before, so this way we can relax and I can snooze a little more if I need to.
