  1. I hear ya breezy. Thrill theatre and that whole deck is gonna be awesome. I'll take the Cat and the Hat instead of Mickey Mouse and have tons more cash to spoil them on our trip. Don't get me wrong. If I made millions every year I wouldn't even question this. I make good money at my job. But I'd rather go on a good cruise and buy my kids what ever they want (well kinda lol). Then spend $1000s on a cruise and penny pinch on board. To each their own. Can't wait for our cruise Sunday. Hope I don't even think about DCL.

  2. Sad. But I'll probably never try Disney. Don't mean to repeat myself but why spend 5k more for a week when you don't have to. Just think of the 2k you could splurge on extra stuff on Carnival and be 3k ahead to book your next cruise. I don't care how rich you are. Just why would ya?. I'm on the Breeze Sunday. I'll let you know if my 7 and 12 year old will be just fine.

  3. I don't care how great DCL is, I won't be sailing on them. I am a single parent who has to save for a year to go on vacation. We just did Disney parks last month, and that was a lot, but a cruise on DCL? Way out of my price range. If people can afford it great, if they prefer it, even better, but thanks, I'll stick with Carnival for now. Not a bad product for the price.

I'm with you Deb. I'm a single parent as well.

The cruise cost is one thing. But factor cheers, all the excursions, etc it really adds up.

You can get a suite in Carnival and it's still way cheaper than Disney.

  4. Well, number one, you are comparing everything with the basic cruise, low end Carnival. No cruise line offers such a cheap (as both in money and product) as Carnival. So every thing you look at is priced higher. With Disney being way up there in price. If you go to Orlando, you can easily find a hotel room for $50.00 a night within a few mile of Disney. But you get a hard bed with little critters running around. Go on the Disney property, and you will have a magical experience, with a quality product. Of course the food might not be 5 star etc, but you know the quality is better.

If you can afford it, go on the better vacation, only you can decide if it is worth the better and magical experience.

Like we said earlier. To a kiddo, any cruise is magical. I'd rather go on a good one every year instead of one great one every 3 or 4 years

  5. My nieces had the Social and Snapchat worked great. I got the Value because I wanted to check my email and post on here. Other than that if those things aren't important, then stay with the Social. No experience with the Premium because the Value speed was fine.

    Thank you

  6. I'm glad Shelbel told me about Errol. He has been really helpful with our trip. Returns our emails daily. I'm looking forward to a local excited to give us a private tour and teach us about the Jamaica way of life. He is going to take us to all the fun places

  7. When we were on the Glory in May, we bought the social package for the week. Speeds varied quite a bit. We had to take turns because only one person could access it at the same time.

But if we all got the social package we wouldn't have to take turns right?

  8. We are on the Breeze the 9th. Can't decide which package to get. 3 of us in 1 room. Can we all get a different packages in the same room? I just want the $4 a day social. Might get the kids the value.

Is the value or premium worth it? From what I have read, even the premium package is slower than $#@&.

    Any input would be great!
