Glad I booked our trip a few months ago for our July 9th sailing.. Went up $700 since we booked it. Prices in the Summer are crazy high. Winter the next time for sure.
-
2 words. Heck no. You are on a cruise. Relax!
-
If I can use fb messenger in airplane mode I won't need to upgrade monthly plan at all I guess?
-
$5 per week is only for the chat feature on the hubb app so you can communicate with each other while on board. the $5 per day charge is for the social media internet plan so you can use facebook messenger to communicate that way.
$5 a day for Facebook messenger and works in airplane mode? Gotta figure out all this with Att as well

How does one get one of these phone calls? Does it happen close to sailing time?

I was wondering the same. Prob when your sail date is close and people want to book anything but a suite. Then they will try to push suites at a cheaper price. No brainer. Summertime prob never happens cause it's so busy. Hurricane season prob happens a lot

I've always wondered this. If we go do a dolphin swim for $400. Is it really okay to tip $10 to $20?
-
How does this work? One time $5 charge for the week for each phone? Does it work while phones are in airplane mode?
29 days away. Gotta figure out all the basics.
Might do the basic data $5 a day social media plan cause most say the wifi stinks in general even on the premium plan. Does the $5 a day cover the cabin or do we need to all get it?

Do not trust everything you read here. I work at a casino here in Colorado. I've talked to 100's of VIPs. Not one bad Carnival comment. They all said Carnival is great. We leave on the Breeze in 29 days. Since I work at a Steakhouse I'll be able to give a good honest review on the food and everything when I get back. I have worked at Red Lobster and other casual restaurants as well. I. Not picky but I know food quality. I'm excited.

Do they have a surly millennial with dinner plates in his ears making your coffee and whining about how much fuel the ship is burning? If not it wouldn't be a true Starbucks experience.
Lol. I'm with ya

I want quality time with my daughters for a week. But I want them to enjoy camp ocean.
I have a feeling they are gonna want camp ocean over me. Lol. Well at least my older one. Is it easy to check them out early throughout the day?

It's on the breeze also

I'm happy about this. I'll be on the Breeze July 9th. I just started drinking Starbucks:D

This non tipping stuff irritates me. I'm a waiter for a living. I've already prepaid my gratuities for our upcoming July 9th Breeze cruise. I have about $250 in 1s for extra tips. Gonna give my room steward $20, MDR waiters $20 and the Alchemy bartenders $20 the first day so I am well taken care of for the week.

Just bought myself cheers and my 2 daughters bottomless bubbles Monday for our July 9th Breeze cruise.
$430 bucks for all 3 of us unlimited was too good a deal to pass up. Now to figure out what excursions to do.
-
It's a nobrainer for me. If you drink soda, coffee and even just have 6 to 8 drinks a day, it's a screamin deal. A few sodas and a couple starbucks put you at $20. I pulled the plug yesterday and got it for our July cruise

I had a 7 & an 11 & they loved the sea turtle farm & Passion Island. For Jamaica we did the falls but from Oco Rios.
I'm not ruling out the falls. So stoked
-
I'm in the same boat. I'm taking my 7 and 12 year olds July 9th on the Breeze. I'm thinking turtle farm in GC. Passion Island in Cozumel. And Doctors Cave beach Jamaica. All pretty cheap.
-
That's cool. Hope the do it a day in advance. If I don't like the menu I'll hit the Steak house or Italian restaurant.
-
Thanks for sharing your experiences. Wife and I and our three kids leave July 9 on same itinerary. Though I'm not expecting gourmet food, I'm pretty disappointed reading of your dining experiences. We last cruised on the Magic and were fairly pleased (certainly not blown away) by the food. I do remember Lido just being lots of lines, people and so-so food. Look forward to reading your future posts. A couple questions. Did you have to wait long for the Thrill Theater showings? If you spent time pool-side, did you have a hard time getting chairs? (lots of unattended chair saving going on?)
I wouldn't worry. I talk to plenty of Carnival cruisers at my work. VIPs at my casino...they all say Carnival is awesome and the food is great. I'm gonna believe the peeps I talk to
-
Thanks for taking the time to write all that. I'm taking my 2 daughters 7 and 12 on the Breeze July 9th. We are doing second seating. I like it just to get to know the waiters and fellow cruisers.
40 more days!
-
I'm a waiter. Anywhere I've ever worked the waiter will tip out the bartender. Not much. Like 10 to 25%.
-
So.... Any news? Carnival get back to u?
-
Can't wait for your review. I leave with my 2 daughters 7 and 12 in 40 days. I haven't been on a cruise in 12 years. This is my kiddos first. So excited. What excursions did you do? Any recommendations for things to do with children? We are in a cove balcony. Sushi good? I could ask a 1000 questions. Lol. Hope u had a great time.
-
Thanks for your review. We leave in 40 days. I was wondering the same when looking at all the pictures. The pools seem tiny. You see 1000 pool chairs and it looks like a 15x10 foot pool. Just not right. Oh well. Looking forward to the experience. I'm sure my kids will love it

One more question.... If I'm in airplane mode the whole time do I need to upgrade our phone plans with ATT?
