NCL Star, May 8-18. You’re right with your port details, I listed the main town from the itinerary, not the port that they listed in parentheses. Sorry for not being precise. Here’s a screenshot. And thanks for your responses.
I googled all of the port stops on an upcoming cruise and found the below info. Does this look right? The cruise itinerary only lists Waterford and Dublin as tenders which seems odd.
Waterford - tender / transport needed to town
Belfast - dock / transport needed
Killybegs - dock / walkable
Galway - dock / walkable
Dingle - tender / walkable
Dublin - tender / transport needed
Cork - tender / transport needed
Thanks for the suggestion, I like this idea a lot. Was it easy to find a taxi, and where did you go to find one? Also do you remember the approximate cost (I’m guessing for 4 people)?
Thanks for the input everyone! Although I would like to DIY this one we will probably go with a tour. And autocorrect kept changing Cobh to Cobb (DYAC!)
We are docking in Cobb and will take train from Cobb to Cork. Then wondering if taking 215 bus from Cork to Blarney castle is easy and will not be too crowded.
Hi! We will be in Cork on NCL Star in May. We are looking to save money at a few of the ports so wondering if taking bus 215 to Blarney Castle is as easy as it seems? Or would we be better off booking a tour? Will the public bus be too crowded when a ship is in port? Thanks for any insight.
