  1. Hello,

    My spouse and I have separate travel insurance policies for an upcoming cruise.

    He used a policy credit from a previous canceled trip and I bought my own. We have the same plan.  My spouse paid for all the excursions and specialty dining. Do I need to list the cost under him or split it up between the 2 of us?

    Do I need to include this cost at all since it is refundable until 48 hours before departure? It was purchased per Royal Caribbean cruise planner.
    Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you

    We received a comped cruise from the Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas (excl. taxes/fees).

    Never traveled on Virgin Voyages before.

    I attempted to status match (diamond on Royal) and was informed no deep blue extras since it is a comped cruise/reduced fare booking. Also was informed status was noted and we get extras if we book full fare in the future.

    If we play onboard and get another reduced fare or comps because of play do we get deep blue extras then? What about now with the black friday sales (also reduced fares)? 

    Anyone has any experience with this?

    Thought we were able to status match but understand if they don’t do it on a comped cruise. It is all very confusing to me.

    Just do not book air without calling the casino department because that will get your cruise canceled… Been there, done that.

     

    If you see the obc listed then it should be fine; I wouldn’t worry.

    You can add water to the booking yourself or pretty much anything else but personally I would still avoid adding EZAir.  Princess has FINALLY changed the way they configure these bookings so that they now show as "paid in full" after you pay thus eliminating the (ridiculous) situation where some bookings cancelled when the casino did not pay their share. These bookings sometimes "lost" the protection after EZAir was purchased through the Personalizer and could cancel the next day.  If your booking has been handled the new way you should see paid in full with no balance due on the Booking Confirmation and it shouldn't cancel if you buy EZAir through the Personalizer (and some have reported successfully doing this).  Still having had one of these cancel in the past following purchase of EZAir I would be nervous about doing it myself and would call.

    Thank you very much this info. Booking shows paid in full so it must been the new way. I booked online and placed the cruise on hold and noticed the wrong free play was applied. I called in and the casino department changed code and I paid the deposit.  First time booking a comped cruise with Princess. I had a hard time understanding the representative. Just want to make sure I did not miss anything.

  6. Were can I see the $200 non refundable deposit/converted OBC  for comp room in booking confirmation? It does not show under OBC in booking confirmation or on travel summery?

    Update: I found the $200 OBC listed under services in travel summery but not under OBC. Is that sufficient? First time booking comp cruise with Princess.

    Also after reading this thread can I purchase Water and Internet through Cruise Planner  or do I need to call Casino Department? Don't want to add stuff and booking cancels. Thanks

    Update…I went through my check in screen for the hundredth time again and this time I got the All checked in email and was able to access the Set Sail Pass on App and PC. I noticed that my reservation is linked to some support team. I called Royal twice. 
    I am so glad it is resolved.. hooray 😃

  8. This is the first time in a suite for us on Royal in Sky Class. I did splurge and upgraded 1 week before sailing and probably missed the Welcome Email from the concierge. I was able to get email address and name from another cruiser that received the welcome email already. I did email the concierge with a couple dining requests but did not hear anything back as of now. 
    Should I expect a reply/confirmation or do I receive everything once onboard?

    Yeap…Iam one of them. I sail on Sunday and no matter what I do I cant get boarding pass to show in app or PC even though check in shows complete. I called Royal twice now and was told some people have issues due to glitch and IT is aware of problem. Been told by to go to port without pass. Scared they wont let me in 😳 Wish me luck.

    Yeap I so agree…I sail on Sunday. Tried everything…cleared cookies, cleared cache, changed browsers. Deleted and reinstalled the app. Did check in over. No luck on app or PC. Called Royal…no help. Will show up without pass. Going to be on that boat one way or another 🤣😁

  12. I upgraded to a suite through the casino department on the Allure. First time in a suite on Royal. During the upgrade I prepaid gratuities. After receiving my invoice I noticed that the rep charged me the gratuities rate for non suite cabins of $16/per day and not 18.50/per day. Will I get charged the difference while on board? Is this a big deal? 

    I trying to avoid calling Royal again. I was on hold forever to upgrade (unfortunately I do not have a travel agent…lesson learned). 
    Any insight is greatly appreciated. TIA

  13. I checked in today for our Allure cruise next week. My check in status shows all set. We have a assigned cabin. I am  not able to access the set sail pass in the app or on the computer ( just gives me a white blank screen). In the app it states to get boarding pass in port.  I cleared my cache and used different browsers. Also deleted and reinstalled the app and signed in and out. Anyone else with this problem or any ideas? I think it is the great IT department at work. I will call on Monday if not resolved  by then. 

  14. I have the same problem. Sailing on the Allure next week. Check in shows complete but I am not able to access set sail pass on App or computer. Just shows white screen on computer and app says to check in port. Luggage tags are available. I do have a assigned cabin and not guarantee. I will keep trying and if not successful call on Monday. Thank you Royal IT department

  15. I purchased some cabin decorations and treats online for a special occasion via Royal Gifts.  I received a order number but never received a confirmation email. My credit card has not been charged as of now either. I called and the representative said it can take up to 48 hours for the order to show up. He was not able to see anything attached to booking. This seems strange to me. Has anyone ordered Gifts and can confirm this process? 
    I will call again tomorrow if I do not get a confirmation. TIA
