  1. We’ve chosen mid-stern, which should afford panoramic views, although not quite as expansive as a corner balcony. Yes, I imagine a screen either side was a motivating impetus for the divider.
  2. Bulgatia: Veliko Tarnovo (Tsaravets Museum and Reserve).
  3. Claustrophobia rules my life. I once refused to undergo an MRI until they reset the machine so I could slide in feet first. Ours is a Q3, and the areas look sufficiently spacious. Of course, we need to “be there to know”, so we shall see. Of note is the fact that the partition is open-sided, so really I think its function would be to create an aura of division, rather than enclosure. We’re really looking forward to our voyage.
  4. I was actually simply trying to correct your name, which I'd incorrectly written. There's obviously something wrong with my editing skills.
  5. Gosh, Lea, that's quite a lifestyle change, at least in the short term. Mario and I send our warmest healing wishes to Rob, and extra strength to you. It's incredible how what at the time seems a slight discomfort can morph into a condition requiring drastic remedial measures. You will both need to make time for yourselves and for adequate rest periods during these very busy days ahead. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Tell Rob I will be speaking to our mutual ancestors to make sure they are watching over him. xx Linda and Mario
  6. We are sailing on QA's third voyage, and are looking forward to comparing the QG penthouse to the same accommodation we enjoyed on QE. The layout is quite different, and to our minds (but not yet opinion, as we are yet to sail) superior, in that the sitting area is separated from the sleeping area by what seems to be a functional partition. Very civilised. I shall write a review upon returning home.
  7. Some of the insane members of the Far South Coast branch of CCs are meeting at Raymonds Chinese Restaurant, Malua Bay, this Thursday (30 Nov) at 12.30 for a business lunch😉 Any CCers in the vicinity are welcome. Preferably insane as well. Just let me know on here if you're around, and I'll increase the numbers to a quorum.
  8. That sounds a truly plausible pathway. So sorry they had to endure all that at such tender ages.
  9. Oh, we’re both weeping with laughter. Simply hysterical. We have a distant relative like that. He’s a mirror twin😂
  10. Cold sores: herpes simplex virus. Shingles: herpes zoster virus. different, but both can lie dormant along the nerve cells of the body, till triggered by stress, or old age, etc. as the body breaks down.
  11. I have an earlier model too, and since its retirement, has switched to automatic, with some fancy and useful add-ons. It not only hangs out the washing, it loads the machine and turns it on beforehand. It has claimed territorial rights to the floors, but it has no feature for bathrooms or dusting, so that's my domain. This wondrous machine also cleans the kitchen after I've cooked, a function I will not surrender, but it has claimed the barbecue as its domain. Tends to rev into overdrive sometimes, though.
  12. Yes, I heard that. Even minimum protection is worth it, but now with the improvement, really shouldn’t be ignored.
  13. Thought so. We had the same experience on QE in January.
  14. It looks a lot like Jasper, and I can’t see Banfffff golf course, which we were once hauled off because a mamma bear and her cubs took over a fairway.
