Thenford Grey Tours in St. Kitts-fantastic and several to choose from. We did the Grand Tour for only $55 per person. One of the best picture taking spots anywhere was the overlook where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea.

Barbados-Harbor Lights Beach is gorgeous.

I'd give it 3-4 hours.
Ship doesn't dock until noon and NASA closes at 6 (going in May). Really want to do that tour, but considering possible long lines at the simulators and other attractions, will there really be enough time to enjoy it properly? Has anyway taken this tour in that time frame? Thanks!

Casey wasn't very visible on our cruise either. Outside of events, we saw him about twice in 12 days. This was a Radiance Class ship, so you would expect them to be visible to some degree. Again, it could have also been timing, but Carlos and his staff seemed more "in it".
Looking forward to Abe on HM in 9 days, and as for Chris, he seems to be CD on Vision now. It could be temporary, but given that some CD's are leaving in the next year, they may promote him to permanent CD.
Enjoy your cruise!! Chris worked very well with Abe and I think he will be a fine CD. BTW, if you are celebrating anything and Abe still does this, fill out one of his cards and he will mention it on his morning show.

I did not enjoy Casey Pelter's solo morning show on Serenade, it was boring and he seemed really stale.
Casey was CD on our recent Adventure OTS cruise. Did not care for him or Eric, the AM. Plus, other than when they were hosting an event, we never saw either one the entire cruise. Maybe it was just bad timing, but when we had CD Abe Hughes (loved him) on Anthem on a 12 night cruise we saw him all over the ship almost daily and his AM Chris was also very visible.

Awesome! Going on this itinerary next May. Thanks! What was your favorite port?

Curacao was lovely, but the Grand Tour of St Kitts given by Thenford Grey made that island our favorite. His tour was amazing. Standing at the spot where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea while petting monkees is an unforgettable memory. This particular 6 hour tour was only $55 per person and worth every penny. You can check out this and his other tours at http://www.thenfordgreytours.com

Not really a "Sale" when it's Always on sale.....
Booked a May 2018 cruise on June 2, when they had an instant $150 off, no OBC. Today's WOW sale price, including the OBC, came out to $5 more. However, I did not get the reduced deposit.

Enjoy it regardless and consider the cash account only option others have suggested.
Just a reminder that I was told when they credited back my charge that they will no longer be leaving those water bottles effective July 1st. Let's hope that happens and that these charges also disappear.
-
You did say that the spa was available to book. So apparently SOMETHING was applicable in the email they sent you.
ooh...I have to give you that one! :)
-
I would think that RCI can send out blasts e-mails that are cruise specific. Why bother sending an e-mail to go book stuff in a cruise planner than has nothing available to book or buy? I keep getting them for a cruise coming up on Allure next year.
My point exactly.
-
Too many e-mails, not enough e-mails, RCI can't win.
It's not as much about getting emails as it is about getting emails specific to offers that are not available.
-
Thanks setsail and knittinggirl. Nothing beats a great cruise planner sale! We'll just have to be patient and put up with the emails.
-
Got an e-mail from RCCL with the subject "looking forward to welcoming you onboard". There are links attached to the cruise planner for making all purchases and reservations. All well and good except that our cruise is over 300 days away and, of course, the cruise planner won't allow doing any of that this early (except for the spa). When going to cruise planner we get this: Uh oh. It looks like you’re trying to reserve a product too far ahead or too close to your sail date. If you have several weeks to go, try reserving closer to your sail date. If you’re sailing soon, please try to reserve this product once you’re onboard. We booked our last cruise a year in advance and do not remember this email issue. I do not want to unsubscribe because some of their emails are actually useful, but it seems like now we will be getting bombarded for a whole year!

"Got off Independence of the Seas last Saturday after a not very good cruise..."
Can you please share what made the cruise "not very good"? Thanks.

There was one poster that paid off their "cash" account with credit card...and guess what...there was that mini bar
water bottle charge!! :o
Well that certainly defeats the purpose! Let's hope they actually stop putting the bottles there and in turn, not billing afterwards.
-
You can close your account on the last evening.
Thanks, as always, Bob. .but if paying that final bill with a credit card, won't they then have your information anyway to bill after you leave?
-
Ouch!! Perhaps they will indeed take those bottles out by July 1st, and then no more of this. :o
I left my account as "cash" for this reason alone. Worked well, impossible to charge me when I got off of MJ
last week.
Island Lady, when you leave as cash account, 1. Am I correct to assume that you need to wait at guest relations on debarkation morning to pay? 2. Do you pay that final bill with a credit card, in which case they'll then have your information anyway to bill after you leave?
Thanks.

Just read on another ongoing post where from July 1st the bottles will be taken from the cabins.
That was me-I was actually looking for this thread. Here is what I said:
I emailed RCCL less than 4 hours ago about the charge for 2 bottles of water that was billed AFTER debarkation (I had previously had the charge removed via telephone). I called the practice despicable. I got a phone call about it "from Michael Bayley's office" a few minutes ago.
I was told that "a decision was made today that effective July1, water will no longer be left in the staterooms" and that an order form will be left for those that do want it.
We are not sailing again until next May, so it would be nice if anyone here sailing July 1 or later can let us know if that happens. Thanks!

Sorry for the duplicate post. Didn't know how to delete it so just edited here.See #56 above.

I agree with taking the water out but the fridges are a necessity for a lot of people.

343 to Adventure, which we just disembarked 6 days ago.

We loved your grandson-so bright, inquisitive and polite. You must be very proud! Thanks for the very interesting information about Captain Busto. Enjoy the summer!
-
Agreed! Was on there with you! Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise as well as the Grand Tour of St Kitts. We were probably on the same bus with Thenford Gray. I do have a question. Do you happen to know how old Captain Busto is. His appearance seems to make him the youngest Captain I have ever seen!

Although we have not been to as many ports as others have been, our absolute favorite Caribbean beach is Harbor Lights in Barbados. Plus, our past experience with Carnival was bad enough to to keep us from ever sailing with any Carnival line again. I would definitely steer you to RC Adventure.

We just sailed Adventure May 20-27. Itinerary was St Thomas, Curacao, Aruba, St. Kitts. Formal nights were 2 (St Thomas) and 6 (sea day).
Mini Bar Charges Post Cruise
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
It seems that each charge is $12 and change, with the amount of change varying. Mine was $12.82. Back in May, when I called to have it reversed, they said it could be either the cabin steward or a bar staffer. But they also said that starting July 1st they will no longer be leaving those water bottles in the cabins.
I hope some cruisers follow up in the next couple of weeks to let us know if this practice was stopped.
