  1. It is with sadness that I make the observation that CB is leaving even later into their vacation cruise than we did on the Thanksgiving week cruise. Hopefully you will not be breaking any other of the records we have set for that week on the floating boat. One good thing is that you have ample time to find and book excursions in your new port, something we were not gifted with as they were deciding our fate.

  2. For those with the mindset "it was weather related, why should Princess do anything for you?", were these sailings supposed to depart from Galveston originally? Then Houston threw a lot of perks at them, that would hit their bottom line, to come to the Port of Houston and they did? Disney and Carnival were parked dockside this morning and now the docks are empty. Not as many hurdles to climb over to dock in Galveston as it appears to be at Houston's port. The narrow channels have been there for awhile, no surprises.

  3. CB left a little late today, 12/7, and there were cars still coming away from the terminal after departure time passed, perhaps those arriving late on flights coming from weather related parts of the country. Wonder if some did not make it with cancellations on all the airport departure boards.

Kudos to the captain, getting you back before any storms coming into Houston could hinder that happening. That helped not impact a departure for today's sailing as well. That kind of out of the box thinking is preferred to the "leaving now, no leaving later, and later yet" not "knowing what our new route would be" till too late to do any research so some scuba/snorkeling could have been gotten in, on our 11/23 sailing.

  4. Leaving on tour with the Celebrity Solstice in October to Egypt. Worked with Ramses to schedule tours for all ports we'll be visiting. What a trouble free way to get what you want and the sites you want to see. They were patient and detailed. Will report back on the ports as we go through them.
