  1. My wife and I will be cruising on Rhapsody in March in an aft balcony room with our 3 year old toddler. We plan on spending time on our balcony with books and wine after putting her to bed every night. Is there enough light out there for this, or should we plan on bringing some led lights with us?

Our only other experience with any balcony was a Central Park balcony on Allure. We were one floor under the pool deck and there was plenty of light to read by. But this room is obviously different in many ways.

@jacobtsf Just found your response in a Google search 🙂 I was wondering if you know if this tour of the galley is any different than the galley tour during the All Access Tour? We are planning to do the All Access Tour also but didn’t want to do both if they’re the same. Brunch would be nice though!

I have never been of the All Access Tour (have had it scheduled twice, but they were both cancelled), I imagine it is similar (of course without the brunch and alcohol), but someone who has done both would be able to answer your question better.

  3. I know the website says that swim vests are available fleet wide, but can someone who has been on Jewel since the restart please confirm?

Our potty trained toddler is very excited to be able to swim on this cruise (after only being allowed in the splash area on the last one) and we would prefer to not have to take a swim vest in our luggage.

  4. I’m sailing on Jewel out of Amsterdam, leaving August 19, and so far everything still mentions testing (no more than 2 days before for vaccinated guests, no more than 1 day before for unvaccinated). Been keeping an eye out since other cruise lines announced they were dropping the requirement.

  5. We will be docking in Queensferry on Sunday, August 21st. What is the best way to get for 4 adults and a toddler to get from there to Edinburgh? Trying to avoid long lines and waiting so busses and trains are not on the top of our list, but we will consider them if there are not better options. Are there taxis when we get off the ship that a toddler can ride in? Are there any companies we can pre-book our transportation with?

  6. Just completed the escape room on Oasis this week (and with over 7 minutes to spare, the staff member told us it was the fastest he had personally seen).

My wife and I do a lot of escape rooms, we are snobs, and both of us thought it was incredibly well built (and actually quite challenging).

Oasis also had a Museum Heist Puzzle Competition (made by the same people who do the escape rooms). It was really cool, except that one of the clues, which is vital to completing the puzzle, was missing from a bunch of the group bags. When we asked the staff they said they were aware of the problem and waiting for replacements. Really wish they would let people know a piece was missing and at least have a picture of it available to look at.

We took our iHealth test kits the gov't sent us and did a zoom test from our  hotel in Madrid on April 25th... check out the website you may also buy the kits from them, the testing service was $24.99. They have a drop down menu that locates any where in the world.

Also if you are sailing NCL they offered free tests to anyone flying out the day of disembarkation ( Athens for us) April 24th.

We are sailing Royal Caribbean, right now the official word is they are NOT guaranteeing tests on board, but there is a slight possibility they could be available. We’d rather have lots of options.

We have e-med tests, but we are worried about the wi-fi on the ship. If there isn’t a physical testing site nearby, Is the wi-fi at the Dover port decent enough to do the tests after touring for the day before getting back on the ship.

  8. Just updating this thread. Those of us booked on the February cruises received an e-mail saying the cruise was chartered and giving us a good number of dates we could switch to with no penalty and price protected (my list had both the exact itinerary I was booked on, as well as a different (but great looking) itinerary. If we did not want to switch to another Barbados cruise we could apply the money paid to a totally different sailing, or get a full refund.

  9. I logged on this morning just to see if something changed since last week. I put in the info for my June cruise out of New Jersey (which I don’t actually need a flight for). After putting in the cruise info and hitting “search flights” I then am given the option to change dates. I searched for flights arriving 2 days before the cruise and leaving 1 day after, and it worked fine.

No idea why I can do it and you guys can’t, but it does work.

No can do, can not even book a one way flight online. Have to call and talk to a rep to get anything done. One way Delta flight from San Diego to Seattle was almost double booking with air2sea. Things are opening back up, but very slowly.

That is really weird. Just last week I was able to book my flight to Amsterdam leaving three days before sail date.

When I go to Air2Sea have to enter the ship and cruise date. It only gives me flight options going the day of the cruise

You should be able to select other dates. Enter your cruise info, the date of your cruise will be the default choice, click it and you should be able to change it.

I'm trying to find Bonaire too! It's by far the best of the three 🙁, no desire to do just Aruba and Curacao!

Does anyone see a southern route with a stop in Bonaire in November 23’? Any chance they are still loading?

If I am looking for a specific port i Google that port + Royal Caribbean, that takes me to a page like this:

    https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-to/kralendijk-bonaire?&country=USA

from there go down to “best deals” and scroll all the way to the right, you will see “view all itineraries”
