  1. Personal favorite: Asian Panorama Want to try: Thai Wish they would create: Greece, Spain. And I love the idea of New Orleans!
  2. I would like to see more National menus suggested. Spain, Greece, for two. And maybe Alaska, Hawaiian?
  3. Thank you. Here are the menus for Anthony’s French Bistro and Australia 2.
  4. Here you go: Thanks! For the good of the thread, could you take a picture of the menu and post it here
  5. I just pulled out that menu. It’s just called Mexico, then underneath in small print, “cuisine from the inside out”.
  6. Yes, it’s Route des Indes, #7 on your earlier list. We enjoyed it.
  7. Sorry for the confusion. #14 is not a separate entry, but is the main course of #13, I.e. Wagyu ribs. Yes, I assume there must be an Australia #1, but we didn’t have it.
  8. This prompted me to go back through the menus we had on our 2019 WC. I have all the above, plus “Australia 2” with blue swimmer crab and “Darling Downs” Wagyu beef short rib. There was also another one called Carnival, or something like that, which I remember, but I don’t have the menu for it.
  9. Very often Viking provides shuttle busses to town and back to the ship. It really depends on the port. And some ports you are close enough you can walk back. Also, many times people just want to leave the tour and stay someplace. And that is fine as long as you tell your guide. Last summer was very iffy about what you could do. This year, it’s all much more open.
  10. My husband is a very good amateur photographer. He has always felt that the photo tours were too simple. We did Viking’s Golden Circle tour last summer and he got some spectacular shots, especially of waterfalls. It also included a nice lunch. If you’ve never been to Iceland, that’s where I would recommend starting.
  11. We had this cancel twice during Covid. We are going to book for 2023, Sept. 12. Yes, this is during hurricane season, but we are willing to risk it. We did the Iceland cruise last year, but still want to see Greenland.
  12. I have learned so much here. Glad to pay it forward in a small way!
  13. Once you book a trip with Viking and put it into My Viking Journey, you will find a section called “Before You Go.” Scroll down and you will see Luggage Forward. When you click on it, it will take you to Viking’s special LF page, offering you 20% off. If you do not have a Viking cruise booked, the LF web page can be found here: https://www.luggageforward.com/ This fall, on our trip to the Italian Lakes on our own, will we use them, but without the 20% discount that Viking gives you. It gets a bit pricy that way, so we look forward to using Viking’s discount in Summer 2023 for our Alaska cruise.
  14. When we went on our Iceland cruise last summer, the very first of the Welcome back cruises, I asked this very question. They had it covered. If you end up not going, you call LF and they take your luggage from the holding area and ship it back to you. You have to pay, but if you’ve paid for round trip anyway, there is no added cost. That was enough to make us feel safe about doing it.
