  1. I always think of the travel agent as being the agent of the cruise line, not of me. Recently, a cruise I had booked was cancelled. I just waited for the refund to arrive. Getting angry with them doesn't make any difference, and it's not good for your health!
  2. Cunard is the only line I've been on so far that has free fruit juice in the buffet 24 hours a day. And very tasty it is too! Other lines turn the machines off at 11 in the morning or so. There is a good free room service menu too. They craftily hide the menu in the desk drawer so I didn't spot it until the last night of my cruise.
  3. At least part of the 'info' has come from people currently on board. Whether it's accurate or not is anolhet matter ...
  4. The person who posted it wrote: Old prop segment can’t see much wrong from photo I can't vouch for their reliability! PS: Sorry for the botched syntax in my earlier post about why pax would want pix.
  5. I'm not sure what a damaged blade looks like (or indeed why anyone pax would want a pix!). Could this be it?
  6. Yes, the captain announced 4 hours ago that the propeller had been fully repaired.
  7. "During the docking period, all facilities on board remained available and passengers could also go ashore. There were free shuttle buses to the center of Cadiz. Passengers were already informed about the necessary dry dock when embarking for the cruise." https://www.cruisereiziger.nl/2023/01/03/fotos-queen-victoria-met-passagiers-in-droogdok-in-cadiz/
  8. It was so con urgencia that they had to book it a considerable time in advance: https://www.lavozdigital.es/provincia/reparacion-expres-astillero-cadiz-queen-victoria-pasaje-20230103150742-ntv.html El Queen Bictoria has also made it to the television news in Cádiz: https://youtu.be/_qVofmdwdv8
  9. It amuses me that the descriptions of the hotels on the Princess website appear to have been written by somebody who has never been to London. I certainly wouldn't pay those prices for any of those hotels, but then again I'm from Yorkshire originally. You can stay at Travelodge London Central Waterloo for a fraction of the cost, and still be within easy reach of most tourist attractions (including many which Princess Cruises seem not to have heard of).
  10. I didn't see any point in dressing up in black tie just to sit in the buffet, with people wandering past wearing shorts and flipflops to get their hamburger and chips.
  11. I made reservations for the Chef's Table for two nights online before boarding our cruise in September - but cancelled the second one when I discovered what it was like!
