Actually, Carnival is now saying 90 days instead of 180.
Q: When can I select my Arrival Appointment online?
A: Arrival Appointments can be selected any time after you make a reservation, for sailings within 90 days of departure and no later than midnight (eastern time) prior to your sailing date.

Just plan on keeping your cool... there will be lots of people trying to get in those elevators and it will take you several tries to catch one. Just stay calm and "carry on" .... I kill my self! LOL! ;);p
Got it, keep cool.:cool::cool::cool:

The elevators will be working. There typically only one set (normally in the middle of the ship) that they will shutdown for the purpose of bringing the checked luggage up).

Thank you! That's the answer I was looking for.

I am assuming you talking your room not being ready when you get on the ship. Well if you are Diamond, Platinum or you have purchased the FTF then you can go straight to your room. Otherwise you will have to keep your luggage with you til your room is ready.

Not worried about the room being ready, we won't board until close to 1:00.
My concern is not being able to use the elevators and needing to carry the luggage up the stairs.
-
For those of you who do carry on, how do you deal with getting your luggage up to your room once on the ship?
-
Arrive appointment time will show up somewhere around 180 before sailing. You do not have to be paid in full for it to show. It will be on the left hand side of the on-line check-in screen under the passengers' names.
-
Arrival appointments are usually available somewhere around 180 days before your sailing date. Ours showed up at 190 days out.
-
You do not have to wait until your cruise is fully paid to select your arrival time.... You can do it once your cruise has been reserved with a deposit.
No, you have to wait until the arrival time choice becomes available which is somewhere around 180 days before sailing.
-
It really is a waste of time and money. Once you put your deposit down...you can reserve your time. Which should be early. The only real gain is early access to your room.... By the time you board...have a welcome cocktail. walk the ship ...have some lunch ...Cabins available. When the price was lower it had some marginal value..... At this price its a ripoff and a waste of $90 that can be used for drinks or an excursion
Once you put your deposit down...you can reserve your time. - Since when?

First, let me say, I love my Yeti. It keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot so much longer than any other cup I've had.
I'm considering bringing mine so I could sit on my balcony drinking my morning coffee without it getting cold.

Buy Early Bird so you don't have to deal with it on your cruise.
-
Pay the $5 and be done with it.
-
I wouldn't for $10.

Thanks everyone. I was asking for friends that I will be cruising with later this month. Their passports will expire at the end of March. so it is now too late for them to get get new ones. guessing they will just take their chances with the old passport.
Probably not too late, I mailed mine for renewal on January 8th and had the new one back on January 25th.

The questions here are nothing compared to the ones I see on FB. I think people just want to be social instead of researching themselves.

I actually booked the hotel before I booked the cruise which was about 10 months prior to the cruise. We're cruising out of NOLA one of the weekends of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival so rates are high and rooms are limited. I've since rebooked the hotel at a lower rate and will continue to check rates and rebook if it goes down.

Carnival says "Arrival Appointments can be selected any time after you make a reservation, for sailings within six months of departure and no later than midnight (eastern time) prior to your sailing date."
Ours showed up around 195 days before our sailing date.

I agree with Winddawn, if it has to be proctored she's going to have to find some place that offers proctoring like a library or some type of school. I'm guessing she's already done proctored tests so she probably knows what she needs.

You know your wife best but if it was me, I'd want at least a month's notice. She may want to makes appointments for hair/nails etc and do some shopping for outfits/swimsuit.
-
When is your sailing date? Carnival says the appointment times become available around 180 days from sailing. Ours was available around 195 days.
-
When did you add the insurance? When you booked in Feb 2017 or at a later time?
-
They clearly say "Unfortunately, we don’t have detailed information for cruises before 1999,...". Frankly I was shocked they still had my history from the 90's.

Which one?
The Lamanai Mayan Ruins and River Boat Safari tour.

I just got the best price guarantee for an excursion on Belize. Others had posted they had also received it so I gave it a try and within 48 hours they approved it. $100 OBC I'm sure we'll have no problem using.
I found the 2 tours you're looking at. I think you have the best shot with the Majestic Tours. The 3 hour time matches and a lot of the description matches almost word for word the Carnival excursion. Try it and if they don't approve it, cancel it.
How many people carry on their own luggage?

We carried on and carried off our bags. We both have 24" spinners and had back packs. It was petty easy.
