I have just found out that HAL Koningsdam is going to dry dock this month. After my experience on Emerald Princess where they removed the sauna and steam after a dry dock I am concerned they may do the same. If anyone is going on the Koningsdam after dry dock please report back to hopefully say that the great sauna is still there.

Hadn't thought of it like that but yes you are correct. Also these only has steam no sauna.

I agree, there was plenty of room, and could easily have been modified.

The men's and ladies changing room dauna and steam. The Coed spa has been redone with wheelchair access. We got the spa pas but was not worth the money and nobody was ever in there. Looking forward to our weeks onHAL Rotterdam and it's great sauna with huge window.

On Emerald Princess and yes as I had been informed the men's sauna and steam has been removed. The deck plans still show it. Disappointed but tries not to let it spoil the vacation but will not be on this ship again and I expect as it is all because of ADA compliance that they will be taking them out of their other ships soon.

Someone on here posted it and I googled it and found they were removed for ADA compliance. I will be on the ship in 2 weeks and would be thrilled if the Info is wrong . I will report back.

I agree, we are booked on Emerald Princess leaving in 2 weeks time and recently found out through this site that they have removed the free sauna and steam. This is very disapointing and had we known we would not have booked this ship.

We are doing Koningsdam in Feb San Diego to San Diego 35 nights to Hawaii and Polynesian. Looking forward to that and I know they will not be removing the sauna which we both love.

We always get the best insurance coverage but those was a last minute booking and we did not so we will suck it up and go but will not be sailing this ship again.

I guess they will do the same thing to the sister ships. We will be sticking to HAL line in the future.

The Jewel Class ships have the best male only spa facilities. We always pay the extra for this great amenity. -
OMG that is so disappointing, we are on the ship in March and now think we will cancell the trip.

It is my favorite ship spa, along with the Jade and Jewel which have the same layout. Does Pearl have a large round 4 man hot tub like the other two?

Just booked a 14 day sailing March 3rd on Emerald Princess. Looking forward to some sauna and steam time with like minded folks.

Looking at a cruise on MSC Divina in Feb out of Miami. Can anyone who has been on this ship tell me if there is a mens sauna and steam and if so where are they located.

Cunard Queen Victoria and Elizabeth and HAL Nieuw Statendam, Rotterdam and Koningsdam. Great free saunas with large windows onto the ocean and always found a good group of men for conversations.

I have heard about this facility and would love to try it. I am lucky to live close to a Korean spa here in New Jersey which is segregated and totally nude.

I agree with you with regards to NCL Jewel class ships.Great pla e to escape especially on sea days. I believe Diamond is sister ship of Saphire which I ha e been on a d has a great large men's sauna and steam free of charge in the men's locker room, no Windows on the ocean though.
