My question as a parent of teenage children is simply where were his parents? The timing...it was late at night, past the ship set curfew for kids. I'm assuming alcohol was involved, we all knew how to get a drink or two at that age on vacation. However, at that time of night, you would think the parents would have been "home" also? I know I am lucky that my kids are not daring children, they tend to be mature and know right from wrong in situations such as these. I am guessing the parents were either still out, intoxicated and passed out, or staying in a separate part of the ship to not know what was happening. Each cabin is required to have someone 21+ staying in each cabin, where was the adult?
Poor kid was basically left to their own devices and not equipped maturity wise to handle them.
It is not a requirement to have someone 21+ in each room. Kids can be alone next door or directly across the hall. And even if they were in the same room the kid was on the balcony of the room, not roaming the ship. My teens were always in the room before curfew. But if they wanted to go out on the balcony they were allowed.

It's $152 for my Utopia cruise. I'm not doing that. We're combining the cruise with a WDW stay. I can pay $49 for a Disney water park with my DVC discount.

I've stayed at a couple that had shuttles, Holiday Inn Port of Miami, and YVE. The shuttles weren't free though. It was quicker and cheaper to use Uber or Lyft.
Like others have said, what do you consider reasonable and what time of year? Prices can fluctuate by a lot.

I have 2 college students one is 3/16-3/24, the other is 3/23-3/31. Our public schools are closed 4/20-4/28.

6 nights on Adventure Western Caribbean $3200 for 2 in a balcony.
Insanity
Last summer I paid $1370 for a 5 night on Mariner. The per night cost on Adventure is basically double.

If you're working with a TA they can tell you the price before you book.

I've been waiting for summer of 2025 in the Caribbean. These prices are crazy.

Damn... I am thinking a won't bother with a TA in the future if I can be held 'hostage' when a poor response happens? Thanks BKer.
PS: I was a biker too until Harley sold to AMF. The resulting bike sucked!!!!
Like everything there are good TAs and bad TAs. Many monitor prices daily and automatically reprice on their own.

Is this agent with an agency? Is there anyone there you could contact. A good agent should realize that a happy customer makes a repeat customer that will give you referrals Five minutes of your time and $20 or so in commission is not worth losing a customer. A customer that will then tell others not to use you.

That's my waterpark price...it makes things so easy to pass...
I agree. Beach Club is $253, I'll be happy not spending a penny at Coco Cay.

Prices for my September Utopia cruise have dropped since this morning. Drink Package was $91.99 earlier today, now it's $85.99.

I got a new receipt emailed but there’s no code on it anywhere. Or my old one for that matter 🙂 just says Stateroom : gty and online says balcony guarantee. Hmmm.
You're right. Sorry I was thinking of when it's booked through a TA vs booking it yourself.

Never mind you answered

If you're working with a TA they can get pricing for you for a specific cruise.

All of the info is in the first sentence of the post. Symphony is spending the summer out of Cape Liberty in 2024.
I misread and thought they were comparing it to other 7 night cruises. Not symphony

It depends. I usually tip extra but not always. A couple of years ago I took a cruise on another cruise line. I never even met the room steward. Never introduced himself, never saw him in the hall... I didn't tip any extra. I did tip our waitstaff and bartenders extra.

I'm assuming you mean that you won't be able to hear the guitar music. Correct? Was there a jumbo screen visible from your balcony located at either end of Central Park that showed movies or played videos with loud music? Someone complained about it on Wonder and I wasn't sure if Allure had the same thing or not.
As of now only Wonder has the big screen there.

For me $73 would definitely be worth it. We usually don't get UDP, but I might for that price.
But it's all subjective

I've used them 3 times from hotel to port and once from Port to airport. Never had an issue.

And then how did they not check the bag if the porter said the ribbon meant it was damaged? I would want to know what's wrong with my bag before leaving. Somebody is making up a story and it's not Royal.
Excellent point. Supposedly this was brand new luggage that Royal damaged but the guest just said ok and took it home? 🤣

That's 100% the fault of the other guest. And they saw a ribbon they didn't recognize and instead of checking to make sure they had the correct luggage they asked the porter? That sounds either made up or just stupid.

Utopia Inaugural Date Change
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
Utopia Inaugural is changing from a 4 night on 7/22 to a 3 night on 7/19. Guests booked on the inaugural have the option to move to the new date and get a prorated refund of one night. Has Royal ever moved an Inaugural date up? I'm sure they have I just don't recall it happening before.
