  1. About 5 years ago on Allure my husband changed his voice and called my brother’s room (from somewhere else on the ship) and pretended to be room service scolding him for ordering 27 pancakes. He went on to say that he tried to deliver it and no one was there. How much he was going to be charged....I don’t remember all the details, but my brother got super defensive and frustrated. It was a good laugh. My brother also slept on a chocolate mint on a cruise when we were kids and really messed up the sheets. He’s easy to pick fun at! He can laugh with us later.

I think you hit the nail on the head... The participants must be "good sports" in order for these type of jokes to be taken in stride. I understand (based on the naysayers on this thread) that some people hate tomfoolery & practical jokes - I would never willingly enact something in poor taste to someone you know would not find a good laugh out of it, just as your brother did later on! 27 Pancakes - too funny!!1

    Thanks for your comments :)

    Maddie,

Understand that these harmless jokes are not only dished out by me, by are equally received by me... My traveling companions are playful & in good spirit also. Our intentions are never to get innocent bystanders involved OR to spoil anyone's personal vacation. We are really trying to keep this harmless, and are adults with a playful side.

  3. Our group played a joke on our wait-staff in MDR. We realised that the dessert menus are double sided, and that last night's menu was on the back of tonight's one handed out to us. So we all turned them over in the folder and started to order our desserts, ordering from last nights menu with straight faces. The waiter got all confused, looked at our menus, raced to the other table where he had just handed out their dessert menus, and now was even more confused, as their ones were of course correct.

Eventually he realised what we had done & we all had a good laugh, and we had a few more laughs on subsequent nights. All good fun.

That one is great - Too Funny - Thanks Mr Walker !

  4. If I was on your cruise, I would join in and help you prank the others.

Like the ringing them up and being angry crew staff.

You could also get someone fun like me, to gain access to their room (with your help) and pretend when they returned, that it was my room and they had got the wrong deck.

You could also invite them to events, that was not happening in that venue at all and see how long they sit there and wait.

How about have a chat with the bar staff and every drink they order, they get a non-alcoholic version instead, this is great if on a package and for the 'fun police', the alcohol can always be added afterwards, so not to avoid wasting the drink.

Awesome suggestions.... This is what I am talking about... Love the Party / event suggestion - Thanks SausPud

  5. OK so online you can buy a remote doorbell that sounds like the BING BONG many ships do before announcements come over the PA. I planted one behind the TV in my DD's room (she was with her BFF and I was with my BFF). So we were in their cabin and I hit the remote. BING BONG. I said "Oh they're going to do an announcement" and then I said "guess they decided not to." Well over the course of the next few days that thing BING BONG'd on and off at odd hours ( Heck....I'd be in my jammies outside her door pressing the button and running). On about day 3 I had it in my pocket, pressed it and she was so ticked off.

She said "This D*** bell goes off at all hours and I don't know where it is coming from. And she grabbed the phone to call the front desk to complain. At this point my friend and I had to come clean. 10 years later we still chuckle about it.

Love it - This is tooo Funny - Thanks :)

  6. Hello Everyone,

Family of 4 sailing with friends (family of 4) on Harmony in July. Last time we sailed with these friends we love to play harmless practical jokes on board.

I'd love some new material for this cruise coming up. Here is a few of my favorite (that I can share).

    • Room Service with the worst menu items 30 minutes before actual room service should arrive.
    • Electrical surcharge invoice for over usage of A/C (invoice slipped under door toward end of cruise) or Water surcharge for using too much water
    • Vegan dinner menu for 1st night
    • Birthday Celebration - even if not a Birthday :)

These are all done in pure jest, only to be playful on vacation.... Please let me know if you have any fun material that you can share.

No haters please, this is in spirit of good fun & I'd like to keep this post in the same spirit!

Help me win this years joker battle!

  7. **Quick disclosure - Far bigger RCCL fan than Carnival**

I know many have been waiting patiently for a new Casino Royale program since December... and I participate on the other feeds about the poor roll out of the new program. Just spoke with CR yesterday, and again - no new info.

Just wanted to bring to anyone's attention to those who are participating on this topic the email I received this AM from Carnival about their new Casino program. Looks like if things go smoothly I should know about the details of their new program in 4 days (May 1st)... vs 4 + Months for RCCL.

Come on Royal... get it together! Sailing on Harmony in July

  8. Not being sarcastic.

I'm curious if you can elaborate on the "Sticker" being used?

    For? How?

Did you get more than one?

Just don't understand the post completely.

    Sure,

My interpretation of the post is as follows:

Casino Players (once they play to a certain amount), receive a CASINO ROYALE VIP Sticker on their SeaPass card... this allows them Free Drinks in the Casino during the cruise. My interpretation is that the Original Poster wanted to know if they are standard throughout the fleet so he can peel it off from a prior cruise & apply it on an upcoming sailing... Thus my comment "Seriously"??

If you earn the free drinks, great - but don't find creative ways to scam !!

Hope that helps... If I am incorrect about my interpretation, then apologies - but oftherwise, my comment was - "Hey, don't be stupid & think you can scam"... and I went further to say "perhaps I should just try to board the ship with an old card & see if it works" - just in line with finding creative ways to scam!

    Cheers

  9. OOPS - Your right, it's 7636... Geeze! Thanks for pointing it out. Yes I know it's only like 8 doors down, but they have a different muster station & I'd even be willing to switch when on board.. like day # 1. You're right, it's not a huge deal but my kids are 17 & 15, so I want to keep them close. (We booked 1 parent & 1 kid the the rooms intitally), but trust them to be down the hall from us during the cruise Therefore if they were 3 rooms away it would be better than 9 rooms

  10. I know this is a strange one but.... We (parents) are in a JRS cabin #7363 and our kids (grown adult kids) are in cabin # 7616. I'm wondering if ANYONE on these board happens to be staying in cabin # 7628 & would be willing to switch with us for cabin # 7616?? They are 6 cabins apart & that would get the rest of our family closer to us & in the same muster station.

Just wondering if Cabin owners # 7628 are on these boards somewhere....
