Did one person eat the while 20 ounce steak? Did they have to be rolled away from the dinner table in a wheelbarrow? 😛

    20 oz no problem. 32oz, now that’s a challenge 🤪

Ate the 32 oz at the Polo Grill back in Dec on Riviera (12/13-23/21). Of course, you do cut off the fat and gristle of a Porterhouse. But I ate all the meat. It was delicious.

A fellow shipmate sitting next to us ordered the 32 oz. Prime Rib!  I ask if I could take a picture.  He said it was great but only ate a little over a half before he gave up!

I should show these pictures to DW.  She's always worried that a tastings menu will have too much food.  These tiny portions don't seem to post a problem!

The portion are larger than they look, especially since the food is so rich!  Then, there are the 9+ flights of free poured wine and champagne🥂🥂

It was a truly memorable experience and certainly one of the best we have ever had at sea.

I agree with FlyerTalker.  I have learned in my career (which is not in the travel industry) that offering discounts just because it seems to the customer the right thing to do "cheapens the product" in the long run.  It's bad policy. Just because there are cabins available doesn't mean the cruise line should be offering upgrades at reduced prices.  If someone has received a discount or an upgrade in the past, that is great and you should consider yourself lucky. I sure wouldn't come to expect it though.

How do you explain the 2 for 1 standard pricing structure for Oceania?  Or a 4 category upgrade?

…….Our cruises are February and April 2022. Shouldn't Oceania have these flight set now? We would hate to pay for custom air now only to find out later that we would have been assigned the same flight schedule had we not requested custom air.

Looking forward to your seasoned advice.

We are booked on the Riviera in November.  We received our flights 75 days in advance and were ticketed 60 days before our sail date. We are very happy with our flights (ATL-FCO) and have our fingers crossed. I might mention that the dates mentioned are from the cruise date and do not include an early departure for an Oceania land tour.

Interesting that our November 17th Riviera cruise has not yet been changed. We leave from Barcelona, and still show a stop in Nice. My only concern would be excursions, if the ports were to change. We just want to get away, safely.

Are you sure?  Our Nov 17, 2021 cruise on the Riviera leaves from Rome (unless it has changed).

We are booked on the transatlantic cruise leaving Civitavecchia on November 16th.  Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice hotel that is convenient for reaching the ship?

    Thank you for any help

What year is your cruise?  The 2021 TA on the Riviera leaves Civitavecchia on Nov 17.

As far as Rome hotels go the port is over 1 hour away.  If you are planning on taking the train to the port a hotel near the Termini will be convenient.  Check the Europe Ports of Call Board.

  7. We were dining at Silk Road on the Crystal Serenity.  I had to make a stop so my wife arrived at the Maitre’d desk alone, requesting a table for two.  She was speechless when asked “Where is your husband?  Out parking the car?”

Port memories include sailing into St. Thomas, Valetta, Istanbul and New York.

The FCC is 125% of the cruise fare with port charges/taxes refunded to CC.

........and the FCC can be used only for cruise fare and certain other charges e.g. It can not be used for shorex or OBC.
