  1. A while back I purchased 2 deluxe drink packages during a buy one, get one 50% off sale.

When I look at the cruise planner order history, I see those as 2 seperate orders, with the same reservation number.

Each one has it's individual ' cancel ' button.

I am now thinking about changing my own package to a refreshment package because my health doesn't allow me to drink. I am aware that you are required to buy alcohol packages for the whole party. But now since I see to buttons to cancel I wonder:

    1. Can I get away with cancelling just the one?

    2. What will happen with the price of the other one, since it has already been paid?

    Anyone know how this works?

  2. Hi,

I am going on my first cruise in September. I have chosen for My Time Dining.

When I go to cruise planner I see that I can make reservations for my preferred dining time.

Doesn't this defeat the purpose? I thought this way I could determine on the spot when and where to eat?

Do you recommend making a reservation? Is it easy to alter it on the day if I change my mind?

  3. Hi,

    I need some help.

I have a cruise booked on Symphony in september. I booked an Ocean Balcony guarantee. This has been in my reservation since I booked it.

Today I saw that it changed to an Ocean View accesible. This is not what I want at all.

Since I never got confirmation by e-mail of my reservation I have no proof that it was something else before.

I tried calling them but this seems impossible from my country. The number provided keeps asking my for a 7-digit agent code and the 1-800 numbers are not accessible from my country.

I have sent them an urgent e-mail but last time I had to wait 14 days for a reply.

I asked them then when the guarantee would change to a definite number and I wonder if this changed my booking.

Can someone please tell me how worried I should be? How can I proof they made a mistake and how can I reach them before I have to wait 10 days on the reply to the e-mail.

Please advice since this is causing me a lot of stress :(

  4. Hi,

I'm new to cruising and RC.

I have 2 questions that I hope you can answer for me.

Last week there was a cyber sale and there was a 20% discount on all excursions. I looked at the city of my choice but saw nothing suitable. Today I looked again and suddenly there seemed to be much more options to choose from.

Did I just not look properly the first time? Or does RC block certain excursions when there is a sale?

I saw that there is a RC Visa creditcard with Bank of America. I am from Europe. Does that mean I am not eligible for the creditcard and 10.000 bonus points that go with it. Or is there a seperate site I can book from?

  5. The above is true...but are you sailing for the SHIP or the sights? You may be OFF the ship doing things in ports enough that the ship is only your "bed and board"!

That's the thing I'm not sure of. Since we' ve never cruised before I really don't know what to expect from the port time.

It seems to me that you go on a cruise for the cruise experience, because if I just wanted to visit these cities, I wouldn't need to go on a cruise. But maybe I've got this all wrong?

  6. We live in the Netherlands.

I have tried several courses to get over my fear of flying. Didn't work :(

My husband's greatest concern with a cruise is for it to be for ' old folks' . We went to a information session of HA which got me very excited but he was very put off by the purser who did the talk and was very ' over the top happy' '. Which I like, but he really didn't respond to well.

If we go I need the ship to feel young and hip not traditional and old.

  7. Hi,

I have been wanting to go on a cruise for a long time. My husband is willing to go with me, but hesitant.

Because I'm afraid of flying our options are limited.

Now I'm facing a dilemma which I hope you can help with.

The most convenient option for us to go on a cruise is travelling with HA from a port in the Netherlands.

They cruise to Norway from here, along the fjords which is also an area that interest us a lot. But HA seems a bit old-folksy to us (we are mid-30's).

The other option is for us to travel to Barcelona by train (14 hour journey) and take a cruise with the newest cruise ship from RC the Symphony of the Seas. It on the 14th of April and it's second or third trip which is why there is a great price deal available.

The prospect of travelling on the worlds largest and newest ship sounds very exciting to me. Also this might be the only time I can convince my husband to go on a cruise, so I want to make the most of it.

But, as you might image the train trip (round trip) to Barcelona is pretty far and the cruise is 7 days to Barcelona, Mallorca, Pisa and Rome which are very nice, but places we have visited before already. So they would not be first choice as a destination although of course very nice to visit again.

My question to you is: is a new and exciting ship worth the extra effort of travelling to Barcelona? Or will HA be just as nice and less of a hassle?

    Thanks for your replies!
