  1. Are you past final payment? If so, only if you booked early saver do you get price drops. Other factors may be involved too. Did you book with a travel agent or directly with Carnival?

Have not made the final payment. I booked directly with Carnival

  2. I always check myself through a mock booking to verify that there is a drop on my sailing. Sometimes that app has given me false alerts or either a drop that I'm not eligible for at the time. But I always call in and make sure they are giving me the correct rate that I want to book with.

    Good idea, thank you

  3. I was on the Victory for NYE, the last cruise before dry dock and had a blast

On embarkation day head to the casino bar (deck 4 I believe, maybe 5). They have really cheap drinks as a welcome aboard special, I think it went until 3:00

Go to to aft (back) of the ship to watch Miami sail away. Great views of Miami and the sunset

If you are going to see the comedy shows in punchliner, make sure you get there early, seats fill up fast! Stop at the alchemy bar for a drink before you go in, there is bar service in the punchliner as well

If you’re on the key west/ Cozumel route, key west is a great day to enjoy serenity empty. We came back to the ship early and hung out there watching the sail away

If you’re planning on eating at the lido buffet, get there early because it is a mad house and horribly designed

In the aft pool area (adult only pool) there is a red frog tap machine, about 4-5 bucks for a cup of beer

  4. I waited to check in until just a few days before my cruise and all the early slots were taken, I was given the 1:30-2 slot. We ended up getting there early and entering the line for people who are early/ late and we were onboard about 1:20, idk if we got lucky or what

If you want to guarantee an early slot either get FTTF or make sure to check in early!

  5. My boyfriend and I were on the Victory for the last sailing before dry dock (12/31), we were in key west on New Year’s Day, we just walked around and shopped and ate, got some drinks, etc.

We got off the ship at about 8:45 and got back on about 11:30. We hung out in the serenity area and watched the sail away which was lovely, serenity was empty because most guests were still ashore

We watched the long line of guests trying to get back on, it looked like a nightmare. It took so long to get everyone back onboard we left about 2 hours late so if you don’t want to be stuck waiting in a long long get back abroad early

  6. You’re over thinking it. They are placed in a sealed envelope, if you happen to notice the seal was broken and/or a card was missing just go to guest services

Having the keys placed outside the room instead of getting them at the port saves a lot of time. On NYE I boarded the Victory, my first picture of the Victory from my Uber was taken at 12:58.... I have a picture of myself walking on the gangway at 1:19

  7. My first few cruises back in 05-07 my family used a travel agent, then my mom would book it herself

Now that I cruise without my family I just do it on my own. It’s never crossed my mind to use a TA, although the OBC does sound nice
