amyotravel - the final date for payment was February 23, 2020. We bought the standard Carnival Travel Protection. I was told by the insurance company (AON) to cancel first, then file claim. Depending on whether we decide to take advantage of the Carnival Cancellation Offer (see attached) will determine if we decide to go for the 75% cash refund due to ;isted medical reasons.

We want to cancel our upcoming cruise on April 23rd and have Carnival travel insurance. The final date to pay or cancel has passed. With COVID-19, we have a doctor's statement for my husband's diabetes (chronic condition). Should I call the insurer or Carnival? Carnival has not answered their phones for the last 3 days... I don't mean long holding times, I mean they have a recording that they have "high volume calling and technical problems, please try your call later" recording, then hang up. This is the first time this has ever happened. Also, most cruise lines have changed or relaxed their cancellation policy but I see nothing on the Carnival website. Any suggestions on how to proceed other than keep calling them. I would like to cancel but can't if you can't reach them.

We have Aloha747 booked on the Emerald. The balcony appears larger on the deck plan - is it really? Any views on this cabin?
We originally booked R747 directly above, but then I remembered from two years ago, we had a room under the restaurant/buffet and I said never again, when noise started at 4:30 in the a.m. Also, the terrace Pool is right outside so there might be alot of traffic in and out the door there - though the idea of running out to the pool from my room was appealing.

We have A747 on the Emerald for a 15 day cruise to Hawaii in December 2018. Just asking for opinions, pictures, etc. if you have any. Thanks

I've stayed in A747 before, personally I like the cabin, slightly larger balcony, side and forward facing balcony and very convenient to the aft areas of the ship. Only downside some might not like is the balcony area is enclosed and a little dark.
Do you have any more pictures of A747? We have that cabin for a 15-day cruise to Hawaii in December 2018.

Did you happen to take any pictures of the room or balcony? My husband and I are booked for a 15-day cruise to Hawaii in December 2018. Just trying to reassure ourselves that we made the right choice.
Forgot to include in my previous inquiry that this is in reference to A747 on the Princess Emerald...thanks!

We had this cabin on a recent Emerald Cruise. We like this balcony. The angle is facing forward so you can see forward and out to the side but it was large enough to have a lounger on the balcony. Cover it with pillows and it is almost (ALMOST) like having your own sanctuary.

Cancelled our April 23rd cruise. Used a travel agent that has not been forthcoming with my options. Found letter to Carnival Cruisers on my own but now I want to disconnect any future travel plans with this agent. Can we go directly through Carnival to get our future cruise credits or are we forever attached to this agent until our future trip (not yet selected) ends.
